That day will surely come when Christ will come WITH the resurrected godly faithful and Israel/Judah will repent and wholeheartedly turn to God; and the knowledge of God will fill Jerusalem and spread out from there to fill the whole earth!
Then Damascus will have peace and shall be subject to God and Israel.
Zechariah 9:1 The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, [Syria] and Damascus [In the millennium Damascus and Syria will turn to God and will be at peace with Israel.] shall be the rest [peace] thereof: when the eyes of man [ALL humanity], as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.
In the millennium the northern border of Israel will be at Homs on the Euphrates, and will extend from the Euphrates to Lebanon. United Israel under the resurrected king David will dominate Tyre and Lebanon as well as Syria.
9:2 And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise.
Lebanon in spite of their political wisdom will be within the borders of Israel along with Damascus and Hamath [modern Homs].
9:3 And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
9:4 Behold, the LORD will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
During the tribulation Tyre will become very rich through trade with Babylon [Europe] and shipping commerce. The wealth of Tyre will be destroyed and the city burned with fire in the last year by the invading armies of Asia.
The people of Gaza are the descendants of the Philistines and are not Arabs or Palestinians. Today the one million true Gazans have been joined by about 800,000 Palestinian refugees from the Jewish State.
Gaza, which will join the Psalm 83 confederation against Judah when the Extremist Settler Movement overthrows the coming peace deal; will be defeated and occupied by the coming Asian armies and the pride of the Philistines shall be crushed. Then the people of Gaza will turn to accept the Messiah at his coming and shall become a peaceful tributary of Israel.
9:5 Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited. 9:6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
The words of blood [words of HATE] shall perish and the remnant of the Philistines will turn to the Eternal in sincerity of heart when Christ comes.
9:7 And I will take away his blood [violent words] out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah [Gaza shall be a province of Judah with its local governor], and Ekron as a Jebusite [The Jebusites of Jerusalem became subject to Judah].
Christ will dwell at Jerusalem the city of the Ezekiel Temple, and all Israel will be protected by Messiah the King!
9:8 And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
The Coming of the King of kings
A prophecy of Christ entering Jerusalem on the foal of a donkey
9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
The armies of the enemies of Ephraim [representing all Israel] and Jerusalem, will be dismantled by Christ; and Messiah will bring a millennial Sabbath of peace to all Israel and to the whole earth.
9:10 And I will cut off the chariot [war machine] from Ephraim, and the horse [war horse, military vehicles]from Jerusalem, and the battle bow [military weaponry] shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen [all the nations]: and his [Christ’s] dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.
War will be banished and the dominion of Messiah will extend over all the earth; then through the blood of the New Covenant sacrifice of Christ, and through sincere repentance, all peoples shall be delivered.
9:11 As for thee [the dead will come forth from the grave] also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners [the Chosen Elect will be delivered from the shackles of death] out of the pit [the grave] wherein is no water.
Those who have been faithful and have overcome and died in hope [FAITH]; will receive a good reward and eternal life.
9:12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope [the saints who lived and died in hope, imprisoned in the grave]: even to day do I declare that I will render double [the godly faithful will have a double reward] unto thee;
Greece is to be punished for their complicity and alliance with the New Europe against Judah; and the captives being held by Greece shall be delivered.
9:13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
9:14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
9:15 The LORD of hosts shall defend them [Messiah the Christ will rise up to deliver his people]; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
The Day of Deliverance
9:16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones [precious to God like jewels] of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
9:17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty!
Then the famine of the land and of the Word of God will be lifted, and the people will eat and drink in plenty. This is analogous to the famine of the Word of God being lifted and all the people eating and drinking very deeply of the whole Word of God.
. . . corn [grain, food] shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.
Let us all pray for the rain of God’s Spirit to be poured out on all the earth (Joel 2:28).
Zechariah 10:1 Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
God’s anger against the shepherds of Israel; today’s church of God leaders and elders. (Ezekiel 34)
This is in particular a great anger against those who are supposed to know better and are supposed to: Cry Aloud and show the people their sins in this latter day (Isaiah 58:1)!
God’s anger is waxed very hot against today’s Spiritual Ekklesia and their business model outreach, because they refuse to present the true Gospel of warning, sincere repentance, and the Gospel of salvation through living as Jesus Christ lived; BY every Word of God the Father (Mat 4:4)]; which is the ONLY way into the Kingdom of God.
Speaking of today’s church of God elders and leaders which have made idols out of themselves:
10:2 For the idols [many church leaders and elders] have spoken vanity, and the diviners [self -proclaimed apostles and prophets] have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they [the flock] were troubled, because there was no [godly] shepherd.
The national and church of God leaders and elders are like goats, each one going his own way and not living by every Word of God, while the godly faithful follow God the Father and Jesus Christ!
10:3 Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house [BOTH physical and spiritual] of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.
Messiah the Christ will rebuke today’s evil shepherds and deliver the people from them.
The True Good Shepherd
The true good shepherd, Jesus Christ, will destroy every oppressor in the tribulation, including the present church of God leaders and elders, if they refuse to repent. When Messiah comes he will raise up the faithful of spiritual Judah and Israel under His Banner and destroy every oppressor in the earth.
10:4 Out of him [Judah] came forth the corner [Stone], out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him [he shall destroy] every oppressor together.
When Christ comes with his chosen, physical Judah and Israel will not only be repentant and accept Christ to live by every Word of God, they will rise up and join Christ to fight with him against the oppressors as a part of the army of the Lord.
10:5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses [soldiers with their war machines] shall be confounded [defeated, overcome].
When Christ comes all Israel will sincerely repent and the remnant of Israel shall be saved.
10:6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them [in their land]; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear [their cries of repentance and calls for deliverance] them.
In the time of Christ’s coming all Israel will turn to accept and rejoice at the coming of Messiah the Christ, the KING of kings!
10:7 And they of Ephraim [the Anglo Saxon people] shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice [at their deliverance] as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.
10:8 I will hiss [against the enemies] for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
The people of Israel/Judah shall remember the Eternal in their captivity, and they will turn to him in mass repentance when Messiah comes.
10:9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again [to sincerely repent and turn to a zeal for God to live by God’s Word].
10:10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them [there will be no space for their great numbers].
Ephraim and Israel will be given the land of the ten tribes and Lebanon/Syria, and there shall not be enough land for these repentant survivors.
10:11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river [the Euphrates where ancient Assyria was located Rev 16:12] shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.
10:12 And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.
