The Resurrections

God set up the annual Sabbaths and Festivals as an instructional allegory based on the harvests in the promised land.  The annual Biblical Festivals reveal a small early and then a latter main harvest of humanity into the family of God, based on the small early and later main fall harvests in Judea – Samaria.

The seven day week and the seven day Feast of Unleavened Bread teach us that God has a seven thousand year plan for an early harvest from humanity.  For six thousand years God has been calling out scattered individuals – from Able to Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Elijah, John Baptist and many others –  as a kind of small  early spring harvest of humanity. Then comes the Sabbath Holy Day; representing a millennial Sabbath of rest for mankind when Satan is removed and all people will have access to God.

Then Satan will be defeated one final time and he will be judged and removed forever on the Fast Day of Atonement; after which another seven thousand year period will begin, represented by the fall seven day Feast of Tabernacles.  For seven thousand years during the Feast of Ingathering also called Tabernacles all those who have ever lived and died in ignorance will be resurrected to flesh in their courses and be given an opportunity to live by every Word of God without Satan there to deceive them.

One might ask: Why a small early harvest of humanity to be followed by a large main Ingathering of all nations into godliness?  Jesus gives us a clue when – speaking at the general time of Pentecost – he says:

Matthew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

The Lord of the harvest is God the Father who calls out the small early harvest to be His laborers to help bring in the main harvest of mankind!

Here Jesus was speaking of the small early harvest of mankind – called to become laborers to help bring in the vast billions who will be harvested in the future main harvest of humanity!

The Bible reveals a series of resurrections to spirit for mankind, and in the scriptures various examples are given of the dead being brought back to physical life; to demonstrate to us that God indeed has the power to raise the dead.

1. Elijah raised the son of the Zarephath widow from the dead (1 Kings 17:17-22).

2. Elisha raised the son of the Shunammite woman from the dead (2 Kings 4:32-35).

3. A man was raised from the dead when his body touched Elisha’s bones (2 Kings 13:20, 21).

4. Jesus raised the son of the widow of Nain from the dead (Luke 7:11-15).

5. Jesus raised the daughter of Jairus from the dead (Luke 8:41, 42, 49-55).

6. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1-44).

7.  Matthew 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

And immediately the temple veil, symbolizing the separation of sin between the Father and the people, was ripped in two; as the true spiritual sacrifice for all sin was made on that Passover day; the very sacrifice that all those lambs were merely symbolic of.

There was a great earthquake and many dead physically raised up to life demonstrating that; Christ will raise the dead in him on that day, and will resurrect all people at their proper time.

27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

8. Peter raised Dorcas from the dead (Acts 9:36-41).

9. Eutychus was raised from the dead by Paul (Acts 20:9, 10).

All these were raised to a lengthening of their physical lives to encourage us that God can raise the dead.

In addition, as an example that God can not only raise the dead to physical life, but can change the physically dead to spirit and grant eternal life, not just temporary physical life Jesus rose from the dead (Matt. 28:5-8; Mark 16:6; Luke 24:5, 6). and was changed from the physical to eternal spirit.

Now this Jesus was to be the first of many who would also be changed to spirit in a resurrection and receive the gift of eternal life.

Jesus went before as an effectual sacrifice for the sins of all sincerely repentant people and those called out to God for the seven thousand years of the first fruits will also be resurrected or changed; and will be changed to spirit as an early harvest.  This early harvest will then help the firstborn – Jesus Christ – to later bring in  the main harvest of Tabernacles.

The resurrections to spirit:

  1. Began with Jesus Christ,
  2. Then those that are his at his coming as King of kings,
  3. To be followed by the change of all those brought into the family of God during the millennium, who will be changed at 100 years old if they have learned to be godly or die if they remain unrepentant
  4. Then after the millennium, all those who have ever lived and not yet overcome sin, will be resurrected to physical life – in their courses over seven thousand years as represented by the seven day Feast of Ingathering- and have a chance to learn godliness; finally also being changed to spirit or destroyed after living for 100 years.

During this time the multitudes which will die resisting Christ at his coming, at the beginning of the millennium before God’s Spirit is poured out;  and those deceived  after the end of the millennium in the Revelation 20:8 deception – will also be raised up for their final chance.

Isaiah 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed [destroyed].

After the seven day Feast of the Ingathering of Nations also called Tabernacles – representing seven thousand years –  physical man will be ended and all humanity will either be changed to spirit, or if unrepentant and insistently wicked will be destroyed.

Then the surface of the earth and the atmosphere will be burned up and cleansed by fire, after which God the Father and the New Jerusalem will descend to the earth from heaven as represented by The Feast of The Eighth Day.

We see that there are only two specific resurrections from the dead to spirit:  Jesus Christ and the early harvest at his coming:  and after them there will be a multitude of CHANGES to spirit of people who will not die longer than the blink of the eye at their change, as the people during the millennium and in the main harvest of the physically resurrected reach one hundred years old.

We also see that Jesus Christ went before us to open up the way of salvation, and after him a the resurrection of an early harvest takes place to provide laborers for the coming main harvest of humanity.

The calling of Israel out of bondage in Egypt and the spring festivals, were an instructional lesson that God would call out a kind of early spiritual harvest from bondage to Satan and sin; who would then be laborers to help bring in the main harvest of many billions of people!

The Purpose of the Early Harvest

The early harvest is called out to learn how to bring the main harvest; to learn how to be loving guides and teachers, and to learn how to exercise authority in a godly manner for the good of all.

The early harvest has not been called to exercise authority over the nations as is commonly done even in today’s Ekklesia: for the benefit of the rulers:  but to learn to rule for the good of the ruled as wise guides, teachers and leaders, setting examples of godliness, focusing everyone on God the Father and bringing people to God!

Matthew 20:20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. 20:21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

Once again politics and who will be the greatest enters the picture: This seems to be a continual issue within the Ekklesia to this very day. And it separates out the self seeking, from those seeking God’s ways.

Remember that these men were still very carnal, not having God’s Spirit given to them until after Christ returned from God the Father after ascending into heaven. Therefore while Christ can teach much, they can understand only in a limited manner.

When the Spirit is given, then it calls to remembrance the teachings that they have received, and gives us the understanding; IF we are willing to follow.

The self seeking power folks in the corporate church groups today, have either never been converted, or have quenched God’s Spirit through their pursuit of personal advantage, and by not focusing on the things and ways of God.

The godly person will serve God and the flock diligently; rebuking sin and teaching repentance and the way into the Kingdom of God; he will not exalt himself, nor seek his own advantage; but will trust in Christ to take care of all his needs.

As Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24, and later Jude and also Peter and Paul prophesied; very many elders and many brethren have fallen away from any zeal for the true Word of God and sound doctrine.

It has come to pass in today’s Ekklesia that many will not tolerate the sound doctrine of the scriptures.

2 Timothy 4:1   I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Here Paul accurately describes the state of today’s Ekklesia.

4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

John 14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jesus replied that such high office is to be decided by God the Father only!  For those with eyes to see; It is the original Moses and Elijah who appeared beside Jesus at the transfiguration vision (Mat 17);  who will be on the right and left hand of Messiah in the kingdom.

Matthew 20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

The response to the men’s mother is that her two sons will be martyred, and who sits on the right and left of Christ is in God the Father’s hands. We know already that these men will each rule one of the tribes of Israel; and it is apparent from the vision on the mount, that Moses and Elijah will be at the right and left hand of Christ.

20:24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

This is Christ’s instructions for his elders including the leaders and elders of today:  Hear ye Him.

20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority [Primacy of Peter type tyrannical dominance] upon them.

20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister [servant]; 20:27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Yet again it is explained to these men that the greatest is he who is the greatest servant of God, and gives himself fully to God to serve God’s flock.

Elders and leaders are FORBIDDEN to rule with rigor like Pharaoh and the rulers of this world. See how this issue continued throughout the ministry of Christ since the first calling of the disciple:  And it continued right through the last Passover; only being resolved among these men when they received God’s Spirit and finally understand what was required of them.

That these same desires for the chief seats and to dominate the brethren through the primacy of Peter Nicolaitane abomination are running rampant in the Ekklesia today; testifies to an extensive LACK of the Holy Spirit.

If we sincerely repent and call on the LORD, he will open our eyes to His will and Word.

Luke  20:45 Then in the audience [in the presence] of all the people he said unto his disciples,

Very many today, have the same attitude as these scribes.

20:46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes [expensive power suits], and love greetings in the markets [love recognition and the adulation of the brethren], and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts; 20:47 Which devour widows’ houses [seek to steal the inheritances of widows and orphans and demand money from the destitute], and for a shew make long prayers [trying to impress people]: the same shall receive greater damnation.
