The Millennial Middle East

Israel and Judah

Israel and Judah will have been humbled and will accept and embrace Christ and God’s saints with open arms when they arrive, and after landing on the Mount of Olives Christ will enter Jerusalem as King of all rulers on the earth.

Among the resurrected saints will be the ancient king of united Israel and Judah, David!  Under Messiah the Christ the King of all kings David will rule a once again united Israel and Judah, and under David the twelve apostles will each rule a tribe of Israel [Matthias replacing Judas].

The resurrected David will rule a once again united Israel and Judah.

See The Dynasty of David article

Under Christ the resurrected David will rule all of this land of Palestine from Egypt to the Euphrates as the National Homeland of Israel; these nations will also occupy the modern lands given to the tribes of Israel today.

Hosea 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.

When Christ comes, he will set a resurrected David back upon his throne, to rule all Israel FOREVER, thus fulfilling God’s promise to David!

Ezekiel 34:23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. 34:24 And I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the Lord have spoken it.

Ezekiel 37:21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

37:22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

37:23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

37:24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. This showing that the whole law and every Word of God will also be kept forever!

37:25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever [thus showing that the whole law and every Word of God will also be kept forever!]: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

After the coming of Christ, Israel will again be united and will turn to the Eternal, and the resurrected David will be king over all Israel; and God’s promise of a perpetual Davidic throne over Israel will be fulfilled!

Jeremiah 30:9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them

In the Millennium and under the resurrected David, each of the twelve apostles will have one tribe in Israel to rule.

Matthew 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Each of the twelve apostles will rule over his own tribe in Israel; including both its area in the National Homeland in Palestine and also the land they has been blessed with outside of Palestine.

For example the ruler of Zebulon will rule Zebulon in its National Homeland in Palestine and will also rule its national blessing possession of the Netherlands; and the ruler of Manasseh will rule Manasseh in its National Homeland in Palestine and will also rule its national blessing possession of the United States of America.

Turkey,  Syria, Arabia, Jordan, the Palestinians and the Canaanite’s [Lebanon]

Then towards the end of the 42 month tribulation the nations of Asia will sweep through the Middles East to gather outside Jerusalem. The New Europe shall go forth to attack Asia in the third year of the occupation of Judea, and the Asian nations shall respond, crushing Europe and overrunning the Middle East to attack Jerusalem, where the Europeans leaders have fled to make their last stand.

As the Asian armies move through the Middle East they will devastate Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, the Palestinians and the Arab peoples; all of which will be greatly diminished.

After Christ comes with the resurrected king David, Israel and Judah will be reunited as one kingdom under David their resurrected king who is under the King of kings Messiah the Christ.

The Palestinians

When God removed the Ten Tribes from Palestine, Gad gave the land north of Jerusalem to a people from Mesopotamia (2 Kings 17:24), who began to be called Samaritans by the Jews since their main center was in Samaria.

Today the native Canaanite tribes remain in Lebanon, but the bulk of the Palestinians are descendants of the Samaritans now converted to Islam or Catholicism.

Mohammed began preaching in about 610 A.D. and Islam swept through the Middle East and beyond.  During that time most of the Samaritans [Palestinians] who had been given the land north of Jerusalem by God, converted to Islam; while a very small number continued in their traditional religion to this day.

Today these Samaritan people originally from Iraq who had been given the land north of Jerusalem by God to replace the apostate Ten Tribes of Israel are called Palestinians; their history confused after their conversion to Islam.

After the tribulation those that remain of the greatly diminished Palestinians [modern descendants of the Samaritans] will be subject to David and Israel in a One State solution.  The greatly diminished Palestinians will have been thoroughly humbled by the Asian armies and will be hugely outnumbered by the returning tribes of all Israel, and they will embrace Messiah the King of kings and David the king of united Israel.

The Philistines [Gaza]

The Philistines, the natural population of today’s Gaza strip [not the Palestinian refugees which are part of the Palestinian section], will be greatly diminished and they will not be an independent people during the millennium but they will be converted to the New Covenant and will become a province of Israel Judah under king David.

Zechariah 9:5 Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.  9:6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.

9:7 And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

The Canaanite’s [modern Lebanese]

Noah was drunken and lost his dignity as the father of his sons; therefore the law forbids drunkenness [any intoxication]; which can cause loss of control of ones thoughts and actions.

Genesis 9:20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: 9:21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered [naked] within his tent.

Noah’s sons then respectfully covered him without willfully looking at his nakedness. Brethren, we should avoid intoxication with any substance and parents should NEVER deliberately expose themselves before their children or anyone outside of their own spouse.

9:22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. 9:23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.

Ham saw his father Noah naked, but Canaan is the one cursed here.  Apparently Canaan had done something to his grandfather after hearing from Ham that Noah was naked and unconscious.  What was done is not revealed, but it was Canaan and NOT Ham who did whatever brought on the curse; which curse was on Canaan and NOT Ham.

9:24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son [grandson H1121] had done unto him. 9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

Noah then exalts Shem above Canaan [NOT above Ham], and prophecies that Canaan and his descendants [the Canaanites] will be the servants of the descendants of Shem.  This is about the Canaanites and has absolutely nothing to do with the other children of Ham as some falsely teach.

This does not say that black people should be the servants or slaves of  white people as some racists claim,  instead this is about the Canaanites who became profligately wicked and were used by God as a type of sin itself from the time of the exodus.

This was fulfilled in part when Jacob [who was descended from Shem] was given the land of Canaan, and this will be fulfilled in full during the millennium, when the Davidic kingdom from the stream of El Arish to the Euphrates is fully established; and the Canaanites [who today remain in Lebanon] will serve a united Israel.

9:26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

In ancient times God led the twelve tribes of Israel out of Egypt and gave them the land of the Canaanites which we call Palestine today.  Before they entered the promised land, God informed Israel through Moses [the whole book of Deuteronomy] that possession of the land was entirely dependent on the people continually living by every Word of God.

Some parts of the land were never fully controlled by the Israelites when they entered the land under Joshua. There is even the promise by God that some people would never be driven out if this was not accomplished by His deadline.

Later Israel’s exclusive right to the land was lost through unbelief, and rejecting the theocratic rule of God and not keeping the law God gave them.

Japheth is blessed with enlargement and multitudes of descendants, and Canaan will serve the descendants of Shem [ie the Canaanites remaining in Gaza and Lebanon will serve a united Israel in the millennium].

The two brothers Shem and Japheth and their descendants are blessed, while Ham is not mentioned.  One son of Ham [Canaan] is delivered to be subject to the descendants of Shem [through Jacob, Israel] so that he might learn respect through service.

Then God led the twelve tribes of Israel out of Egypt and gave them the land of the Canaanites which we call Palestine today.

Most Canaanite city states had become incredibly wicked even sacrificing their children in their rituals and God used Israel to destroy them as an instructional allegory that after being resurrected and given an opportunity to sincerely repent, ultimately all unrepentant wicked will be destroyed in the final judgment (Rev 20:15, 21:8).

Before they entered the physical promised land, God informed Israel through Moses [the whole book of Deuteronomy] that possession of the land was entirely dependent on the people continually living by every Word of God.

Some parts of the land were never fully controlled by the Israelites when they entered the land under Joshua. There is even the promise by God that some Canaanites would never be driven out, if this was not accomplished by His deadline.

Later Israel’s exclusive right to the land from Egypt to the Euphrates was lost through unbelief, and their rejection of the theocratic rule of God and their refusal to live by every Word of God.

Judges 2:2 describes God’s message to sinning Israel. “you have not obeyed my voice, why have you done this?” The punishment is found in Judges 2:21, “I will not henceforth drive out from before them any of the nations which Joshua left when he died.” And that specifically was the Gaza Strip the area of Philistia, and the Canaanites in Lebanon.

The first verses of Judges 3 detail the peoples who would remain. “Now these are the nations which the Lord left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan.  Namely, five lords of the Philistines [the Philistines are not Canaanites but related to the Egyptians], and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon [Mount Hermon] unto the entering in of Hamath.”

After the tribulation the remaining Canaanites will be removed from Palestine.

God will remove the remnant of the Canaanite’s and Lebanon will become a part of greater Israel.

Joel 3:4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;

3:5 Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:  3:6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.

3:7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:  3:8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans [Sheba and Ophir, probably in India near modern Goa], to a people far off: for the Lord hath spoken it.

Syria will be devastated and humbled by the armies of Asia.  That land will be incorporated into the millennial united Israel and the greatly diminished residue of the Syrian people will turn to live by every Word of God (Zechariah 9:1).

In the millennium the Jordan, greatly diminished and humbled by the Asian armies will rejoice at their deliverance by the coming Messiah the Christ and will turn to live by every Word of God. They will be ruled by king David of Israel as a subject state.

Zephaniah 2:9 Therefore as I live, saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.

The Arab people will be greatly diminished Isaiah 21:13-17,  and the remnant will turn and enter the New Covenant.

The Book of Obadiah tells us that Turkey will be destroyed by the Asian invaders, and will then be occupied by Israel.  The Turks will then enter the New Covenant as a nation which will be semi-independent as an autonomous region subject to Israel.

  1. Greetings James,
There are many prophecies in the scriptures which state that after the tribulation the children of Israel will be returned to the land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob from the lands where they have been scattered and exiled. On what scriptures do you base your statement that some will do so and others will remain in the lands where they now reside?

God has given us these lands in fulfillment of his promises [the Genesis 48 study and the Deuteronomy 33 study] and they will remain our lands, and those promises will be fulfilled in their fullness AFTER we have repented and been brought into the New Covenant of Jer 31.

Even if only 10% of the people of the nations of Israel were to survive the tribulation there would still be about 60 million left and they would procreate and expand from there. That would be far too many for the area given to Israel in Palestine.

There will be a kind of tribal headquarters in Palestine with each tribe having its additional areas; which have already been given to them in our time. James
