Let us greatly rejoice over God’s plan of eternal salvation and the coming of Christ to deliver God’s faithful, destroy all wickedness and rule all nations; teaching all people the way to eternal life in peace with God and man.

Psalm 48:1 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain [the temple mount] of his holiness. 48:2 Beautiful for situation [location], the [all nations shall flow to her to hear the Word of God (Isaiah 2:2)] joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Every dwelling in Jerusalem will be full of the knowledge and Spirit of God, and God will be the defense of the city, for it will be the city of God.

The rulers of the earth will see the coming of Christ and they shall fear to dispute Christ after he comes and destroys the wicked.
48:4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together. 48:5 They saw it [The earth’s rulers will see the coming of Christ with his bride and the destruction of the vast armies of the wicked at Jerusalem. They shall be greatly astonished and afraid.], and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away [flee to hide]. 48:6 Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

Why set the heart on physical wealth when man cannot be redeemed by physical things, but must sincerely repent and have his past sins paid for and be redeemed by the sacrifice and life of the very Creator, the Lamb of God?
49:6 They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; 49:7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
A prophecy of the sacrifice of the Lamb of God which redeems the sincerely repentant. Christ needed to die only once never needing to die again because his sacrifice is perfect; and he was then resurrected to spirit to live forever.
49:8 (For the redemption of their soul is precious [the life of the Creator, the Lamb of God is the redemptive sacrifice that saves the repentant], and it ceaseth [The Lamb of God died only once never needing to die again; because his sacrifice was perfect and redeems all sincerely repentant humanity.] for ever:) 49:9 That he should still live [be resurrected] for ever, and not see corruption.

Although people may be prosperous and respected in this life, those who do not repent and go forward to live by every Word of God will die and perish forever like the brute beasts.
