Proverbs 28

Proverbs 28

The evil doer is always right in his own eyes and hates correction.

While thinking of himself as good the spiritual evil doer works hard to conceal his evil deeds under a cloak of “good;” often hiding behind charities and fine words about loving others while he steals your eternal life by subtly leading people away from all zeal for living by every Word of God.  He will receive his reward of eternal destruction.

Those zealous for all the ways of God the Father and Jesus Christ are to be bold in preaching the true gospel of warning, repentance and salvation through the diligent learning and keeping of the whole Word of God.

28:1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Evil leaders in this world will be replaced by others, and God will correct wicked leaders and nations in his time; the gift of eternal life and dominion in the Kingdom of God is reserved for the faithful who live by every Word of God.

28:2 For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.

Because of sin the people [including the spiritual Ekklesia] are divided between many leaders, and by a godly leader the assembly is united with God and the godly are united with one another.

When the leaders of the spiritual Ekklesia are spiritually poor and lukewarm, zealous for their own ways and bereft of zeal for the ways of God it is a great evil.  Should not the leaders and elders be zealous to excel as examples and teachers of righteousness so that the brethren may be brought into FULL UNITY with the Word of  God?

28:3 A poor [spiritually ignorant leader] man that oppresseth the poor [the spiritual brethren] is like a sweeping [a destructive] rain which leaveth no food [brings no spiritual fruit, only harm].

28:4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.

The sinful will justify other commandment breakers because in doing so they are justifying their own law breaking.  Those who are zealous for the Word of God are to rebuke the sins of those who are not, in the hope that they may be saved by a good warning.

Those who turn away from any zeal the righteousness of every Word of God, think themselves righteous as they do what THEY THINK is right; not believing that they will be corrected as evil doers.

28:5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.  28:6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

Spiritual zeal to live by every Word of God, is eternal spiritual wealth

28:7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.

Spiritually those who passionately obey God their Father in heaven are wise and acceptable to God.  Those who disobey God their Father in heaven are foolish and will be corrected by him.

28:8 He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.

Those who seek gain by false means will be corrected and they will lose their wealth to the poor.  Those who exalt themselves over the flock to deceive and make merchandise of them; will be brought down and the flock given to others.

28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing [keeping] the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Hear the Word of the Lord:  It is because we have no zeal to live by every Word of God, that our prayers are NOT heard!  Yes, our prayers are an abomination to God the Father; because we neglect to live by the WORD of God and instead stand on our own ways and our own false traditions.

28:10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

Many wicked leaders have risen to the top in today’s Spiritual Ekklesia and have led the righteous astray from their passionate zeal for the Word of God.  Their end is destruction and death.

28:11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor [in the spirit of pride] that hath understanding searcheth him [God] out.

The physically wealthy and the spiritually proud tend to put their trust in their own judgment and in their wealth.  The poor in spirit humble themselves before God and diligently seek out all the ways of God.

People should keep themselves far from the wicked and should run to hear the wisdom of God; they should run to seek out the righteousness of God and the holy justice, fairness and love contained in the law of God.

28:12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.

The godly righteous rejoice in the glory of every Word of God, and a wise person mourns when the wicked rule

28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

We cannot hide or justify our sins from God; we should quickly repent and confess before God and turn from evil to live by God’s Word that we might be saved.

The person who is always respectful of God and is passionately zealous for ALL the instructions and commandments of God; will be kept from much evil and shall rejoice in the day of his judgment.  Those who think they know more than God and compromise with God’s ways will fall into much tribulation.

28:14 Happy is the man that feareth alway [always respects and lives by every Word of God]: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

The wicked ruler devours the poor, today many such wicked leaders devour the means of the  brethren.

28:15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.

The elder who covets wealth, power or adulation and accrues wealth [like many leaders in the Spiritual Ekklesia] from the people sins greatly; those who hate such covetousness shall live forever in the resurrection to spirit.

28:16 The prince that wanteth [lacks, has no understanding of God’s Word] understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.

The leader who does not live by every Word of God oppresses the brethren  leading them in the path to destruction, but the godly leader leads the flock to eternal life.

28:17 A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.

The leaders who teach others to tolerate false teachings and overlook sin will die in the end; for they murder the brethren through deceit leading the righteous away from the Lord of our salvation to spiritual destruction.

28:18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

The zealous to learn and live by every Word of God are upright and will see salvation to eternal life.

Those who are zealous to make idols of men, false tradition or corporate entities, and are  not zealous to live by every Word of God, shall fall into tribulation and destruction.

28:19 He that tilleth his land [works diligently] shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.

Spiritually f we work hard to internalize the nature of God; we will be filled with the Bread of Life.  If we follow men instead of living by every Word of God we shall surely be destroyed.  Follow men ONLY as they follow God the Father and Jesus Christ and live by every Word of God.

28:20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

A person faithful to all of Holy Scripture will be blessed with eternal life.  Those who neglect spiritual things to focus on things physical, seek that which is only transitory and will dissipate like vapor over time.

28:21 To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.

Apply the same law and the same standards to all persons.  Follow ONLY those who are zealous followers of God the Father and Jesus Christ to live in Christ-like zeal to live by every Word of God.  Those who are not faithfully zealous for all the ways of God will transgress for even a small reward.

28:22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

Physical riches are a mist that disappears from the hand that grasps them; far better to seek the spiritual riches that never fade away.

28:23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

To rebuke sin is to do God’s will and doing so will save many, and will bring much reward in the end of the matter.  To overlook sin and flatter a person is to  lead the victim to his destruction for he cannot correct himself if his sin is not made known to him.

To justify sin is to be suicidal.

28:24 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.

God is our Father in heaven and the deceivers try to rob God of his flock when they attempt to lead people astray from God to their destruction.

28:25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.

Those who are proud, stubborn and self-willed, who must go their own ways, will fall into calamity; while those who trust in the Holy Scriptures will be delivered and they will flourish in the resurrection of the chosen.

28:26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

Many of today’s church leaders are proud and lifted up in their own minds by pride in their false traditions.  In due time they will be brought low as their false traditions collapse under the weight of the reality of truth.

Those who stand on the Word of God will be delivered; therefore repent quickly that you might also be saved.

28:27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

It is a good thing to help one’s neighbor as long as we live by every Word of God and put God FIRST!  If we break the law in one point, we have broken the whole law; therefore help your neighbor and also zealously live by EVERY WORD of God.  Do not use helping a neighbor to distract you from loving God and living by every Word of God.

28:28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

When the wicked lead the assemblies the godly are scattered; and when the wicked perish and righteousness enters in godliness triumphs.

When deceitful teachers who teach the brethren to tolerate false teachings and overlook, tolerate and justify sin, are rooted out and destroyed like the choking weeds they are:  Then the righteousness of God will flourish in the assemblies.
