Proverbs 14

Proverbs 14

A wise wife helps her husband build her house, for his success is to her benefit; the same is true of those called to have a part in the collective bride of Christ.  We must be a HELP to our espoused Husband just like the physical wife is to be a suitable HELP for her husband!

Proverbs 14:1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

Those who walk [live] by every Word of God are acceptable to HIM!  Those who pervert their ways away from the ways of God and who despise knowledge;  run to their own destruction.

14:2 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.

Fools teach compromise and toleration of sin to their own destruction.  The wise keep and speak the truth of God.

14:3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

Those who do nothing, may make few mistakes but they will not grow in godliness; while those who work to practice the truth may make many mistakes, but if they persevere they will learn and grow greatly.

Where there is no zeal or strong effort there can be no spiritual growth.  Strong effort often brings mistakes and a thinking man can learn much from his mistakes.

14:4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

The faithful servant of God will speak the truth even if it is unpopular.  The deceitful man will teach the smooth lies that people want to hear.  Therefore deceitful leaders will be popular.

14:5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

Those who scorn knowledge are foolish, but knowledge comes to those who seek it out with zeal and respect to do what they learn.  As we grow a little, more knowledge will come to us through the doing of what we have learned.

14:6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy [comes much more easily to the humble] unto him that understandeth.

Do not keep company [for spiritual purposes] with the spiritually foolish, who follow idols of men and depart from any zeal to prove all things and to live by every Word of God.

14:7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

The prudent [thoughtful and humble] person understands more than those who have no time for spiritual meditation or carefully thinking on the Holy Scriptures.

14:8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

A foolish person makes a mockery of Christ’s sacrifice, by saying that we can sin and Christ will overlook our sin.

Galatians 6:7   Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Hebrews 10:26   For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

The zealously obedient are UNITED as ONE with God, while the ignorant and foolish consider sin some kind of joke.

Proverbs 14:9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

Those who fight the bitter struggle against sin and overcome it, will have a joy that no one can take away; including eternal life in full spiritual UNITY with our Husband and God our Father forever!

14:10 The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.

The greatest house of the wicked will come to nothing, but the tents of all those who are passionate to please their Lord shall flourish forever.

14:11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.

Those who do what is right in their own eyes like Eve and Adam did in the garden, will be thrust out of the body of Christ to be destroyed if they will not repent.

14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

The end of the temporary laughter and pleasures of the wicked is destruction.

14:13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.

Those who compromise with any part of the Word and law of God and go back into spiritual Egypt, are keen to do whatever they think is right while rejecting what God says is right!

The righteous before Christ are satisfied with Christ’s righteousness dwelling in themselves.

14:14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be [made satisfied by godliness] satisfied from himself.

It is foolish to believe everything one is told and not to prove and test all things by the Word of God.

1 Thessalonians  5:19   Quench not the Spirit. 5:20 Despise not prophesyings. 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

1 John 4:1   Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in [to dwell in his people trough the agency of the Holy Spirit, enabling us to live as Christ lived; with passionate zealous living by every Word of God] the flesh is of God:

The foolish believe everything they are told, but the wise prove all things by the Word of God.

Proverbs 14:15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

The wise humble themselves in contrite repentance before God and KEEP the will of God.  The spiritually foolish stand on false traditions and their own understanding, and reject the truth of God’s Word.

14:16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident [in his own ways].

Keep control of our temper and think before speaking or acting.

14:17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

Those who are spiritually simple through lack of study, meditation and obedience, will fall into much sorrow, but the zealous for all the things of God shall gain much wisdom and a good reward.

Kings ought to be wise and just to rule well.

If we want to rule in God’s Kingdom we must properly prepare by zealous hard work in learning the wisdom of God.

Those who desire everlasting life and a kingship and or a priesthood; must be properly trained by God our Father for such a responsibility.  That proper training involves not only study but the practical application of every Word of God in our lives.

14:18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

In the Kingdom, those who are wicked now and depart from the Word of God now, will bow before those who they condemn for their zeal today.

14:19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

The physically rich have many friends; but the spiritually rich have God, all the holy angels and all like minded persons as his friends: and even if he has to stand alone for a time he will join many other passionate brethren in the Eternal Kingdom.

14:20 The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.

Those who look down upon and seek to dominate and bully others, sin.  Christ HATES the deeds of the Nicolaitanes!

14:21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

The godly man warns and calls to repentance truthfully, and is merciful and forgiving to the sincerely repentant; while the wicked man extracts more than is right, ruling with rigor like Pharaoh.

14:22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

Those who are all talk and no action get nowhere.   God’s commandments and ways are about our actions!

14:23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

A spiritually diligent man is crowned with godly wisdom and the spiritual things of eternal life; in ONENESS and fullness of complete UNITY with God the Father and Jesus Christ.

14:24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.

The true leader, elder or man of God teaches people to diligent live by every Word of God.

FALSE leaders, prophets, teachers, elders or professing men of God, teach that we should live by every Word of God and then they quickly switch to say that we must follow what they say instead!

The true man of God is a witness to the TRUTH and saves lives through his godly witness, conduct and warnings.  Those who speak smooth words to entice to be lax and lukewarm in zeal for the Word of God, are deceitful destroyers of our spiritual potential and eternal life.

14:25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

Those who are strong and zealous to learn and to live by every Word of God, may boldly and confidently preach the truth of God.

14:26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

Every Word of God is the wisdom that brings eternal life;  To depart from the commandments of God, is to trade eternal life for death and the temporary pleasures of worldliness.

14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

The greatness of a king or church is not in appearances, but in the godliness, happiness and prosperity of the people.

This demanding and squeezing of the brethren for more and more, is the sign of a wicked leadership intent on its own advantage, caring nothing for the brethren.  They demand far more than is right and then fail to teach sound doctrine; instead teaching the compromising and lukewarmness that leads to death.

Let the “church” teach all people to be zealous for God the Father in Heaven and all his law and ways, so that the Father’s Kingdom will be full of righteous people

14:28 In the multitude of people is the king’s honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.

Think carefully and prove all things by the scriptures before you speak or act.

14:29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

As a sound physical heart is life to the flesh; a spiritually sound heart filled with sound doctrine and the nature of God is life eternal in the spirit.

To envy God and want to come between the brethren and God as the moral authority of the people in place of God; is rottenness and death.

14:30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

People who oppress the poor by extorting more and more, are a foul stench in the nose of God the Father and Jesus Christ.

14:31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

The wicked die and if ultimately unrepentant will cease to exist forever.  The godly man who stands firmly on every Word of God, has a great hope in the sure resurrection from the dead to eternal life.

14:32 The wicked is driven away [from the presence of God] in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

He who zealously learns and lives by every Word of God, gains an understanding of spiritual things.  Compared to godly wisdom, the wisdom of men is foolishness.

14:33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known [for the foolishness that it is].

Zeal for the teachings and commandments of God exalts a people. Lukewarmness for the law of God is a great reproach on any corporate church or people.

How long will today’s spiritual Ekklesia justify sin and tolerate false teachings insisting on the false traditions of men above the truth of Almighty God?

14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

The wrath of the King of kings is stored up for all those who cause shame by compromising and rebelling against God our Father in insisting that we can do as we please and Christ will understand and overlook our willful sin.

God the Father, the King of the universe; is well pleased with those who are diligent to live by his every Word; and God’s wrath is stored up for those who, to their great shame, rebel against any part of the Word of God.

14:35 The king’s favour is toward a wise [faithful godly] servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame [brings shame by sinning].
