The US is offering to sweeten the deal with economic proposals worth $100B. Turkey says that if an agreement is not reached they will enter Syria and enforce their requirements for the buffer zone. Turkey can ill afford the military costs of such an invasion, losing the US aid and enduring more economic sanctions, so the pressure to comply with American plans is intense. See the 26 July “Turkey” section below for more.

If this comes such a split off of Likud far right extremists voters could result in a win for the Kahol Lavan [Blue and White] bloc; and a Likud ouster of Netanyahu after his early October indictment hearing, thus enabling the Likud to join a Kahol Lavan governing coalition.

Economics- British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and U.S. President Donald Trump have agreed to start trade talks as soon as possible, a Downing Street representative said on Friday. In a conversation on Friday, Johnson and Trump expressed commitment to reaching an “ambitious free trade agreement” after the UK leaves the European Union, and said they will meet at the G7 Summit in Biarritz, France, in August to set up the pending talks.
France wants to tax digital income earned in France, Trump does not agree and will sanction France. Other EU countries, including Austria, Britain, Spain and Italy, have also announced plans for their own digital taxes. Trump appears to be trying to dissuade them by hitting France hard but he is only further damaging US ties to Europe.
They say a levy is needed because big, multinational internet companies such as Facebook (FB.O) and Amazon (AMZN.O) are currently able to move and register profits in low-tax countries like Ireland, no matter where the revenue originates. Political pressure to respond has been growing as local retailers on main streets and online have been disadvantaged.
The US claims that the tax targets US companies but the mega companies are almost all American so what is the EU to do? The new law will require that mega internet companies pay their taxes in the countries where their profit is earned: Sounds very fair to Europeans.
Syria- Syria has launched an extensive assault on terrorist positions defending the gateway into their Idlib stronghold.
08:45 PDT: Gaza- An overwhelming majority of Israeli’s now support war with Gaza.
06:35 PDT: Islam- The 2019 Hajj [Mekka pilgrimage] begins on 9 Aug and continues through 14 Aug. Large numbers of pilgrims have already arrived in Saudi Arabia. It will be near the end of August for most to arrive back home.

At this time the Likud and Kahol Lavan [Blue and White] are in a virtual tie and neither will be able to form a governing coalition. The Blue and White refuse to form a government with Likud while the indicted Netanyahu leads. The situation threatens to bring a break off of the Likud moderates from the far right extremists after the Netanyahu October court hearing.
03:00 PDT: Turkey- After reaching consensus with congress Trump backs off from further sanctions on Turkey, says no sanctions as long as the Russian air defense system is not activated. This could open the way for a deal on the Turkish border buffer zone with the Kurds. Once Turkey feels secure from the Kurds they can concentrate on North Syria after the imminent Russian Syrian Idlib ground operation and the approaching war between Syria and Israel. The Russian and Syrian air forces continue to pound the terrorists ahead of the planned offensive.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on the request of President Trump, called Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Wednesday, offering no further sanctions if Turkey agrees to “Just don’t activate the Russian-made S-400 missile defense system.”

• 12:30 – Talmei Eliyahu
• 2:15 – Yated
• 2:40 – Dekel
• 3:25 – SufHa
Likud is now deeply worried that they will lose the elections and a peace deal [which they oppose] be made. In fact, even if Likud wins more seats it will be almost impossible for them to form a governing coalition due to the court hearing which will decide on advancing the three Netanyahu corruption charges three weeks after polling day. Bibi knows this very well and could decide that a quick and decisive victory on the battle field might generate enough support to save him. If he chooses that route because of his military overconfidence, he may find the battle slower and more costly than he imagines and the effort could cost him more in votes than he might gain. If war breaks out polling day could be postponed if needed.
The left leaning [peace oriented] Meretz party will join forces with former prime minister Ehud Barak and recent Labor party defector Stav Shaffir for a united run in September elections. Other Labor defectors may also join as voters flee Labor.
On the right Netanyahu seeks unity with far right extremists and is opposing an effort to associate with the New Right party due to Sara Netanyahu’s vendetta against Ayelet Shaked and Naftali Bennett leaders of the New Right party.
The deadline to register candidate lists in 1 August.

So far, May’s secretaries in defense, business, education, transport, local government and international trade have all announced they are leaving government. That comes hours after Treasury chief Philip Hammond, Justice Secretary David Gauke, International Development Secretary Rory Stewart and May’s de-facto deputy, David Lidington have resigned, and Johnson has sacked a dozen others in a general house cleaning.
Johnson plans a very tough approach to the EU and will now lead Britain into Trump’s arms with his own team.
08:00 PDT: Israel- The newly formed joint list of Meretz and Barak’s Democratic party are meeting with Labor party members upset that Peretz [Labor] decided to merge Labor with the social issues focused Gesher party of MK Orly Levi Abecassis. Ukraine- Russia, Ukraine and Europe’s top security body have announced an “indefinite” ceasefire in eastern Ukraine that analysts hail as a substantial step toward ending the five-year conflict.
The sides have agreed to a complete ceasefire starting midnight Sunday, July 21, Russia, Ukraine and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) [which collectively make up the Trilateral Contact Group] will guarantee the ceasefire with the participation of representatives of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The agreement includes a ban on forward movements and reconnaissance activities, firing and a ban on the placement of heavy weapons near populated areas, among other measures; and now that new Ukraine president Zelenskiy’s party has won a landslide victory and will have a large majority in the parliament; if the deal holds it will be the basis for further talks on normalizing relations between Ukraine and Russia.

03:30 PDT: Turkey- US Ambassador Jeffries arrives in Ankara for talks on the Kurdish border safe zone. The threat of US economic sanctions over Turkey’s purchase of the Russian missile defense system will play a key role in Turkey’s decision. If the sanctions are coming anyway then Turkey is not likely to agree to the American proposal for the border zone and could even invade Kurdistan to take out the US backed YPG, so the US may have to back off on further economic sanctions to get a deal. US president Trump will brief Republican congressional members on the situation later this week.
Ukraine- President Zelenskiy’s party has won a landslide victory and will have a large majority in the parliament. This will allow him to fight corruption and open talks on reconciliation with Russia.
UK- Boris Johnson is the overwhelming favorite to become the new prime minister tomorrow. He is expected to reverse Mrs May’s refusal to join a US anti Iran coalition, rush to Washington to launch trade talks with the US and leave the EU without a deal in October.
21 Jul 04:45 PDT: Elections- Japanese PM Abe’s party is expected to win the upper house of parliament today, clearing the way for constitutional changes to permit Japanese forces to be used over seas. The Ukraine president’s party is expected to win today’s parliamentary elections, clearing the way for talks on restoring relations with Russia. Iran- “The British tanker Stena Impero collided with a fishing boat on its route and, according to the law after an accident it is necessary that the cause of the accident is investigated,” said Allah-Morad Afifipoor, director-general of the Hormozgan province port and maritime organization.
Following the collision, those on board the fishing boat “contacted the British vessel but didn’t receive any response,” he added. “When the British vessel did not respond to the fishing boat, they informed the Hormozgan port and maritime office according to the legal procedures.” The tanker then turned south and fled towards Oman before being boarded and diverted to Iran for investigation.
The Stena Impero is now at anchor off the port of Bandar Abbas with all its crew aboard.
19 Jul 12:30 PDT: Iran- The US and Britain are doing all they can to manufacture an incident with Iran to attract allies to join their anti Iran coalition, with no success so far.
Iran took over a British ship in the Strait of Hormuz. Two British ships flouted the rules of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC has now confirmed that it took control of one ship.
The Stena Impero, IMO: 9797400, is a British flagged oil products and chemical tanker. Build in 2018 it has a deadweight tonnage of 49,682 MT. The owner is Stena Bulk XIII Cyprus Limited which is itself likely controlled by the Swedish company Stena Bulk AB in Goteborg, Sweden. The operator is Northern Marine Ltd in Glasgow, Scotland. The ship sails under the British flag.
Another ship seems to have “violated international maritime regulations”. The ‘Mesdar’, IMO 9452672, passed east to west through Iran’s territorial waters north of Abu Musa island when it suddenly made a 90 degree turn and sailed north towards the Iranian coast. With 333 meter length and 60 meter breadth the Liberian flagged ship is a very large crude oil carrier. It has a deadweight tonnage of 315,802 tons. The ship came from Lanshan, China and was supposed to go to Ras Tanura in Saudi Arabia. The manager and owner(?) of the Mesdar is Norbulk Shipping Ltd in Glasgow, Scotland. The IRGC let the ‘Mesdar’ go after reminding her of the relevant rules. The ship has turned southwest to continue its planned voyage.
Gaza- Israeli live fire wounds fifty Gaza demonstrators.
06:30 PDT: Turkey- President Trump may be about to approve additional economic sanctions on Turkey. This would be in addition to the present economic crisis and the anticipated nine billion dollars now suddenly lost to Turkey by its expulsion from the F-35 program.
Additional economic sanctions would be devastating to Turkey’s crumbling economy and could very well force president Erdogan to call an early election. Erdogan is likely to pick up the pieces in Syria with his Turkish backed militias after the looming war between Israel and Syria, Hezbollah and Iran, and could possibly run on that victory in an election. However the ruling AKP is losing support and if Turkey’s economy collapses Erdogan could still lose and be replaced by a new leader less attracted by Russia, more amenable to the planned Middle East Peace initiative and more inclined towards the now rising New Federal Europe. Turkey will eventually lead Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and the Arab states in an alliance with the now rising New Federal Europe.
04:30 PDT: Israel- Labor and the Gesher (Bridge) party have agreed to join forces and run on a joint ticket in the September election. Earlier, the Labor leader declined to join up either with the far-left Meretz or the new party set up by former PM Ehud Barak.

Israel has been waiting for this offensive so as to launch a Gaza operation while Syria is deeply engaged in her northern province of Idlib, and the US is prepared to bomb Syria in response to a planned terrorist chemical attack to be blamed on Syria sometime during the coming battle, which battle may take weeks.
Turkey- President Erdogan’s office has revealed that large Turkish military forces are massing in northeastern Turkey.
05:45 PDT: Turkey- Shaking NATO the US has barred Turkey from receiving the F-35 over her receipt of Russian S-400 air defense systems and is threatening economic sanctions. As Turkey splits with the US and NATO shudders with a US British alliance replacing their interest in Continental Europe, Turkey will eventually lead Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and the Arab states in an alliance with the now rising New Federal Europe.

Syria- A large number of Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers have been deployed to the northwestern part of the Al-Ghaab Plain this afternoon. The reinforcements were deployed to the government stronghold of Joureen, which is located just east of the Latakia Governorate axis. All signs are now pointing to the Al-Ghaab Plain terrorist heartland as the next target for the Syrian Arab Army’s next major offensive in northwestern Syria. More equipment is arriving from Russia today and Republican Guard units from the 104th (Airborne), 105th, and 106th brigades are joining the reinforcements.

08:30 PDT: Israel- LISTEN: Israel’s not-so-secret ‘disappearance’ of Nakba history- Host Simon Spungin is joined by Haaretz’s Hagar Shezaf, to discuss her recent article detailing Israeli efforts to ‘disappear’ documented evidence of Israeli war crimes during the 1948 War of Independence – the Palestinian Nakba. LISTEN FREE (Haaretz Weekly Audio)
Leading up to and immediately after the Israeli declaration of independence in 1948 Israeli terrorists went through Palestinian villages ordering residents to flee and promising rape, pillage and slaughter if they remained. Upon the Israeli declaration, Egypt, Syria and Jordan attacked Israel to prevent a mass influx of refugees, while Israeli terrorists carried out their threats. They were defeated and unable to prevent the rush of Palestinian refugees which resulted in today’s refugee problem. One key example is Gaza where the one million descendants of the Philistines were swamped by nearly one million Palestinian refugees creating today’s Gaza problem. Jewish terrorists still lurk within the Settler Movement and will undoubtedly sabotage the coming peace deal when the man from the Vatican visits the Temple Mount (Mat 24:15).
05:15 PDT: Economics- If Boris Johnson becomes British PM this month he will rush to Washington to work on trade deal with the US.

14 Jul 05:40 PDT: Hong Kong- For weeks as many as 200,000 youth [the numbers are greatly exaggerated by western media] have been demonstrating against a new extradition law with China. HK already has extradition laws with twenty countries but the British are using this new law to extradite criminals to China to stir up resistance to any further rapprochement between HK and China.
The struggle for Hong Kong- The British took Hong Kong in the Opium war of 1839 and HK became a gateway for British opium entry to China. From then on HK became a gateway for British trade with China, and the repatriation of the Territory to China in 1997 contained many clauses which serve to maintain HK as a back door way for the British to access the Chinese economy. Today Britain can export to HK and then Chinese merchants can visit from the mainland and buy those goods bypassing normal tariffs and restrictions.
The roots of the current protests can be traced to the case of Chan Tong Kai. In February, he flew to Taiwan with his girlfriend, strangled her, stuffed her body in a suitcase, dumped her in a field, and flew back to Hong Kong. Although he confessed, he couldn’t be sent to Taiwan because Hong Kong had no extradition treaty. (Hong Kong has extradition agreements with 20 countries but not China, Macao, and Taiwan.) Hong Kong authorities couldn’t charge Chan with a murder that took place elsewhere.
The proposed law requires that an extraditable offense must be a crime in both China and Hong Kong, which protects Hongkongers from arbitrary arrest. And the law specifically prohibits extradition for political crimes. In addition, the bill grants Hong Kong’s chief executive the ability to review extradition requests and allows for two separate judicial review processes. And according to the chief executive’s office, extradition would “only cover 37 offenses punishable with imprisonment for seven years or above, and none of them prohibits the exercise of the right to freedom of expression.”
The majority in HK approve of the law but the British and Western media are backing demonstrations by a minority in order to resist any kind of movement of HK towards China which might in the long term jeopardize Britain’s special access to the Chinese economy.

07:00 PDT: Iran- After a week in Arabia the empty British Heritage ship turned off its AIS signal and hugging the Omani coast headed towards the Iranian military base on Abu Musa island. The suspicious act of turning off its AIS location signal and its course made it a danger to navigation and a spying threat to Abu Musa and Iran sent out three small boats to show the flag and escort the ship through the crowded water way. 13:00: Earthquake Update
03:00: US- Overnight an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 jolted much of California, cracked buildings, set fires, broke roads and caused several injuries while seismologists warned that large aftershocks were expected to continue.
The quake — preceded by Thursday’s 6.4-magnitude temblor in the Mojave Desert — was the largest Southern California quake in at least 20 years and was followed by a series of large and small aftershocks, including a few above magnitude 5.0.
There is about a 1-in-10 chance that another 7.0 quake could hit within the next week

4 Jul 14:00 PDT: The New Moon was seen from Jerusalem and elsewhere in Israel after sunset this evening, therefore 5 July will be the first day of the fourth biblical month.
The New Moon is to be observed with congregational bible studies, or personal bible studies if it is not possible to meet with a like minded congregation. I recommend that visitors go to the “Sabbath and Calendar” category and review these things this New Moon Day. The New Moons were observed in the Armstrong Radio Church of God with congregational bible studies.
God’s Word tells us to begin the new month with the first visible light of the new moon as seen from Jerusalem. The new moon day is an Appointed Time like Passover and is not a High Day, it is to be observed with Bible Studies and the Shofar.
When Christ comes and the Ezekiel Temple is built, special new moon sacrifices will be offered and in addition to the Shofar being sounded in every town, the two silver trumpets will be sounded over the sacrifices in the Temple at Jerusalem.
Remember that when Christ comes he will require all humanity to observe the New Moons. Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

USA- A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck near the Mojave Desert town of Ridgecrest, about 150 miles (240 kilometers) northeast of Los Angeles, near the town of Ridgecrest, California.
The quake was quickly followed by many smaller aftershocks. in an area associated with the Eastern California Shear Zone and has suffered earthquake swarms in the past, including about 2,500 tremors over five weeks in the summer of 1995.
The area would be hit by many more aftershocks in the coming days, even a larger quake, seismologist Lucy Jones told CNN. This could be an early precursor to a long overdue massive quake on the US West Coast which would be exponentially larger and come within the next few years.
10:30 PDT: US drone shot down over Iran- On July 3 this year a U.S. spy plane accompanied by a drone penetrated Iranian airspace flying over Abu Musa the Iranian island base which controls ship traffic in the Strait. The plane’s transponder used a fake code indicating it was an Iranian aircraft. Iran shot down the drone but wisely did not shoot the accompanying US RC-135 Rivet spy plane with 25 persons aboard. This happened on the 31st anniversary of Flight 655 making the intrusion an extra special provocation of Iran.
On July 3 1988 the guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes shot down the civil Iranian Flight 655 with 290 civilian passengers and crew on board. The U.S. claimed that the plane’s transponder was signaling an Iranian military identification code, that it was seemingly attacking the Vincennes, that the ship warned the plane 12 times, and that the ship was in international waters when the incident happened.
Investigations showed (pdf) that all the above claims were false. Iran sued the US in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over it. The case was settled in 1996 when the U.S. agreed to apologize and to pay $61.8 million to the families of the victims.

1 Jul: Iran- US demands Iran halt all uranium enrichment.
Inventory of 3.6% enriched uranium has overtaken 300 k, and Iran will no longer send the excess stock to Russia. Trump claims Iran is playing with fire when it was Trump who scrapped the treaty. US and Israel are now making the ridiculous claim that the increased inventory is a big step towards a nuclear weapon, when Iran is completely incapable of enriching to the over 90% purity needed for a weapon. On May 3 2019 the State Department removed sanction waivers that allowed Iran to export low enriched uranium to Russia in exchange for natural uranium forcing Iran to keep the excess in its inventory.
The Jewish News Syndicate reports more honestly “As a practical matter, Iran’s breach of the stockpile limit is an incremental violation that does not significantly expedite its path to a nuclear weapon.”
