Malachi 3 – 4

Malachi 3

Malachi 3:1 Behold, I send My messenger [John Baptist (Elijah),  and the end time Elijah], and he shall clear the way before Me;  and the Lord [Messiah, the Christ], whom ye seek, will suddenly come to His temple [Christ will come unexpectedly by most, to the spiritual temple, the people in whom God’s Spirit dwells], and the messenger  of the covenant [Jesus Christ BOTH first and second times], whom ye delight in, behold, he cometh, saith the LORD of hosts.

3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? And who shall  stand when he appeareth? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap;

3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of  silver; and he shall purify the sons of Levi [BOTH the physical priesthood of Levi and those called to become priests of God with Melchizedek, Jesus Christ ], and purge them as gold and silver;  and there shall be they that shall offer unto the LORD offerings in  righteousness [offer sacrifices in the Ezekiel Temple, Ezekiel 40-48] .

Many will be corrected, refined and purified through a trial by fire (Rev 3).  Levi will also be turned back to his God, for at least 12,000 of Levi shall be Called, Sealed and made Pure before God (Rev 7:7.  Rev 7:14).  After this trial by fire, when the Kingdom will have come, God’s Spirit will be poured out on all flesh (Joel 2:28), and a new physical temple will be built in Jerusalem (Ezek 41-42).

God’s Spirit will remain in no one who sins knowingly-willfully.  Such wickedness will be rejected from being a part of God’s spiritual temple

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  3:17 If any man defile the temple of God,  him shall God destroy;  for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Malachi 3:4 Then [because of sincere repentance and faithful diligence to live by every Word of God] shall the offering of Judah and  Jerusalem be pleasant [acceptable to] unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in ancient  years.

Jerusalem will become the capital of the earth and Judah will be brought back to her land;  Israel shall also be brought back to her land.  The new physical Ezekiel Temple will be built and the physical sacrifices will be reinstated along with a new and full understanding of their spiritual implications.  The physical priests will be filled with God’s Spirit and also the whole people; they shall all know the Eternal and obey him, making him their delight.

Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

31:34  And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Malachi 3:5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I  will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers [those who are unfaithful to God], and  against false swearers; and against those that oppress the hireling in his  wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his  right, and fear not Me, saith the LORD of hosts.

3:6 For I  the LORD change not; and ye, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

The Eternal Keep’s His Promises!

God will not totally destroy the people for their wickedness, but will correct them until they are turned back to him!  He will swiftly judge the wicked and the oppressor!

The Head of the Spiritual Ekklesia is Jesus Christ and his head is God the Father, NO person has the right to exalt himself to judge God’s Word to decide right and wrong for himself. Today’s Spiritual Ekklesia has followed our own ways while claiming to be godly.  We must turn to a wholehearted zeal to live by every Word of God.

3:7 From the days of your fathers ye have turned aside from Mine  ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto Me, and I will return unto you,  saith the LORD of hosts. But ye say: ‘Wherein shall we return?’

Today the robbers of God’s tithes and offerings in the Ekklesia are not the brethren; they are the ministry who misuse God’s funds for their own pleasures and teach against any zeal for God rather teaching a zeal for idols of men; teaching the brethren to follow themselves and their false ways and to exalt idols of men above the Word of God.

3:8  Will a man rob God? Yet ye rob Me. But ye say: ‘Wherein have  we robbed Thee?’ In tithes and heave-offerings.

3:9 Ye are  cursed with the curse, yet ye rob Me, even this whole nation.

The Pharisees demanded a complete tithing, as does today’s Spiritual Ekklesia; and so they think that they are guiltless in this matter and that this rebuke only applies to others.  Yet today’s ministry does indeed rob God; by diverting God’s funds to finance ungodly enterprises [like Herbert giving a huge grant to build a Buddhist monastery in Sri Lanka, or building the appalling Ambassador Auditorium to host pagan operas] and taking wages that they have not earned.  Loving their big salaries and fat expense accounts while not teaching the people to live by every Word of God with zeal; indeed condemning anyone who is zealous for God, as being “over righteous”.

Ezekiel 34:2   [see whole chapter, and Jeremiah 23] Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?  34:3 Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.

Malachi 3:10 Bring ye the whole tithe into the store-house, that there  may be food [the Gospel and the Word of God may be preached] in My house [people], and try Me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I  will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there  shall be more than sufficiency.

Let us start rejecting error and start using God’s tithe to begin to preach the truth; let us begin to live by every Word of God.

3:11 And I will rebuke the  devourer for your good, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your land;  neither shall your vine cast its fruit before the time in the field, saith the  LORD of hosts.

3:12 And all nations shall call you happy;  for ye shall be a delightsome land, [We will be a delight to the Eternal IF we live by every Word of God and proclaim righteousness throughout the world as he has commanded in Matthew 28, instead of spending his money on expensive monuments to our own inflated egos.] saith the LORD of hosts.

3:13 Your words have been all too strong against Me, saith the LORD. Yet  ye say: ‘Wherein have we spoken against thee?’

Today most elders, leaders and many brethren call those who are zealous to live by every Word of God; foolish.

3:14 Ye have  said: ‘It is vain to serve God; and what profit is it that we have kept His  charge, and that we have walked mournfully [repentantly mourning our sins] because of the LORD of hosts?

The wicked make it their delight to go out and buy food and drink, polluting God’s holy Sabbath day; our chief topic of conversation on the Sabbath is NOT God and his Word,

We do not think and meditate, filling our heart and mind with God’s Word night and day.  Our heart is not set on our God, but on our organization, leader, elder or the social pleasures around meeting together.  I am speaking now to those in this condition and not to those to whom this does not apply.

Today we look up to and envy the arrogant and proud, because they are lifted up; not realizing that God will bring them down to destruction for their great pride.

3:15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work  wickedness are built up; yea, they try God, and are delivered.

Yes, we exalt the men and organizations even when they abuse and dominate us by bullying and intimidation, taking and taking; while telling us to compromise with God’s Word by doing whatever they say: Causing many to exalt such men above God’s Word in the sin of idolatry.

We exalt those who play power politics above the faithful elders who speak the truth, for we delight in being told that we have it made if we only obey the elder.  We delight in being told how good and righteous we are as we do our own thing instead of enthusiastically living by every Word of God: Thinking that somehow we can crash the Wedding Feast without a garment of righteousness.

Matthew 22:11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment [was not clothed with godly righteousness] : 22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment [not being clothed with godly righteousness]? And he was speechless.

22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spoke one with another; and  the LORD hearkened, and heard, and a book of remembrance was written before Him,  for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon His name.

God IS WATCHING US!  He knows what we do and what we say.  He is looking for those with open eyes, who see the reality and who cry and sigh over the evils among his people: those who genuinely CARE, who truly LOVE God enough to actually DO what God has commanded.

Ezekiel 9:4   And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

9:5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:  9:6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

We have now come to a time when Almighty God is sifting out those who turn to him in zealous, passionate, enthusiastic, abundant LOVE for God and his Word;  separating them out, before correcting the lax, faithless and lukewarm.

We are at the time of Malachi 3:16, Ezekiel 9:4 and Revelation 11:1-2 where the Holy is being separated from the profane, so that the outer court of the spiritual temple [people of God] can be given over to the Gentiles for their correction; while the inner court or Holy Place [the faithful] is preserved.

Revelation 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Malachi 3:17 And they [those who love God enough to zealously DO what he says] shall be Mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in the  day that I do make, even Mine own treasure; and I will spare them, as a man  spareth his own son that serveth him.

3:18 Then shall ye  again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God  and him that serveth Him not.

It is the people who LOVE God and his Word to DO IT, with all their hearts (Mat 22:36-38): who are upset and sorrow over the evils. Those who repent and seek to serve Almighty God with a whole their hearts are the true pillars and they will be spared and delivered as a part of the Bride of the Lamb.

It is they who have learned the difference between the Holy and the Profane and have chosen to live by every Word of God who will be accounted worthy to judge the nations in God’s Kingdom!

Malachi 4

Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, it burneth as a furnace; and all the  proud, and all that work wickedness, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh  shall set them ablaze, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither  root nor branch.

Those who would exalt men and institutions, obeying them above obeying God; those who compromise with the holiness of  God’s Sabbath and Holy Days, those who follow the teachings of the pagans for their prophecy and some of their doctrine; those who lack any zeal for their espoused Husband and his Father; those who are not passionately burning with zeal for their Deliverer; those  who cling to their false traditions and refuse to accept the increase of spiritual knowledge promised to them by the Eternal in Daniel 12; will be cast in to the furnace of affliction that they might be humbled to contrite repentance.

The wicked who follow idols of men and have no zeal to live by every Word of God will be tried in the fire of affliction to see if they will sincerely repent, or if they must have the birthright of their Calling taken away from them.

4:2 But unto you that fear [have RESPECT for God to do his will] My name shall  the sun [literally “sun;” properly: A brilliant LIGHT] of righteousness arise with healing in its [his] wings; and ye shall go forth,  and gambol [dance in rejoicing like a youth] as calves of the stall.

4:3 And ye shall tread  down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day  that I do make, saith the LORD of hosts.

The Eternal will deliver and exalt all those who are humble before him; who truly LOVE him and DO his will.  They will be persecuted and attacked as Pharisaic and self-righteous by their brethren, NOW; but the Eternal will be our reward and the pillars shall receive a double portion for their present rejection by our brethren.

Isaiah 61:6   But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

61:7 For your shame [because the faithful have been mocked by the wicked] ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

61:8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

God hates the taking of offerings through coercion and intimidation and mental extortion.  He loves righteousness and just judgment.

God will direct the feet of all those who passionately love him and live by EVERY WORD of God; and they will live in complete unity with God the Father and Jesus Christ for ALL eternity!

The righteous who live by every Word of God and zealously keep every Word of God; will inherit eternal life!

Malachi 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses My servant, which I commanded unto him  in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.

4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and  terrible day of the LORD.

This is an example in type, that Elijah will turn the hearts of today’s Spiritual Ekklesia to God the Father, and God the Father’s heart will be turned to all those who sincerely repent and turn to live by his every Word.

4:6 And he shall turn the heart  of the fathers [properly God the Father] to the children [properly the people], and the heart of the children [properly the people] to their fathers [properly God the Father;  lest I come and smite the land with utter destruction.

The foundation of turning parents and children to each other is for parents and children to base their lives on the same foundation, which is UNITY WITH GOD through a passionate exuberant zeal to live by every Word of God!

God’s law is a law of love and through its obedience the fruits of love, true unity and peace are obtained.  Elijah will turn the hearts of parents and children to each other, by turning the hearts of BOTH children and parents to the Eternal God and to passionately living by every Word of God.

Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers [properly God the Father]to the children, and [by turning the disobedient to God] the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
