Isaiah 65:1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
This refers to the Gentiles who were not called by God’s name in the Mosaic Covenant, being called into the New Covenant of Jeremiah 31 along with Israel.
65:2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts; 65:3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
Just as Christ was patient with sinful Israel and Judah, so he has been patient with the sinful lukewarm latter day Spiritual Ekklesia.
Gardens and bricks are made by man; Israel was to sacrifice physically at God’s temple and not in our own gardens or at places of our own choosing; and we are to sacrifice ONLY at the God designated altar of the temple!
Spiritually this means that we are NOT to worship God as we please, instead of worshiping God in the manner which he requires. We are to worship God through learning and living by every Word of God.
Today’s Spiritual Ekklesia internalizes the false spiritually unclean traditions of men, instead of the pure and clean Word of God. We say with our lips that we love God and we are God’s people and then we say with our deeds that “we are more righteous than God’s Word,” as we stand on our false traditions, idols of men and organizations.
We have become a stench in the nostrils of God by exalting our own false traditions and teachings of men above the Word of God and we will be rejected into great correction for doing so (Rev 3:16).
God’s condemnation of ancient and modern Israel/Judah and today’s Spiritual Ekklesia
65:4 Which remain among the graves [We are consigned to the grave for our rejection of living by every Word of God, and we will remain consigned there unless we sincerely repent and commit to STOP sinning.], and lodge in the monuments [grave stones], which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things [Spiritually we reject living by the Word of God and we eat, internalizing the abominations of false human traditions and the filth of the false doctrines of our idols of men.] is in their vessels; 65:5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me [Most in today’s Spiritual Ekklesia are full of themselves and deeply self-righteous.] for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke [a burning stench] in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
Jesus Christ will correct us for turning away from God’s Word to accept the false traditions of our idols of men.
65:6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom, 65:7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
We say that we worship God but in reality we truly worship [obey] idols of men and false traditions.
65:8 Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sakes [Jesus Christ will save those who are zealous to live by every Word of God and enthusiastically serve God the Father.], that I may not destroy them all.
Yet there are a few even in today’s Laodicean Spiritual Ekklesia who are zealous for godliness still remaining, they will be spared God’s correction by being given the opportunity to separate from those consigned to severe correction. Then God’s chosen faithful will be resurrected to eternal life with their LORD and inherit the government of God over all the earth, and Jerusalem and Israel will dwell in peace
65:9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains [the governments of the nations]: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my [those who repent to serve God] servants shall dwell there. 65:10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
Today’s physical Israel/Judah and apostate Spiritual Ekklesia, who have no zeal to live by every Word of God; will be given over to severe correction until we sincerely repent.
65:11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain [We have forgotten our first love and will not live by every Word of God.], that prepare a table for that troop [of the wicked], and that furnish the drink offering unto that number [the company of the wicked]. 65:12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
Both physical Israel/Judah and today’s wayward Spiritual Ekklesia are hot for idols of men and the false traditions of men, and cold for the Word of God. We forsake living by every Word of God for our own ways. We have forgotten the authority and power of God the Father and Jesus Christ in order to serve idols of men, false traditions, corporate organizations and worldliness; therefore we will be given over to the correction of great trials so that we might be humbled and hopefully repent.
Those zealous for every Word of God the Father, will be preserved from God’s correction which is about to imminently befall the brethren.
65:13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed: 65:14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
The unrepentant wicked who are cold for living by every Word of God and hot for their false traditions and idols of men and organizations will be accursed [sternly corrected].
65:15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
When Jesus Christ comes he will teach every person to be zealous to live by every Word of God, and all wickedness will be cleansed out of the earth and replaced by the righteousness of the whole Word of God.
65:16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
A prophecy of the Eighth Day Feast when the faithful righteous godly will go forth into eternity with God the Father and Jesus Christ, after the wicked have been completely destroyed and the earth is cleansed by fire.
65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 65:18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create [A New Jerusalem] Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 65:19 And I will rejoice in [A New] Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
Possibly in the millennium, and certainly in the Feast of Tabernacles main harvest of humanity which begins AFTER the millennium; a human lifespan will be 100 years.
65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
65:21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 65:22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 65:23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
There shall be equity, peace and justice and each person will reap and enjoy the fruits of his own labors.
65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
The people will be close to God the Father and Messiah the Christ in and after the millennium and they will live by every Word of God.
65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
After Christ comes the genetic codes of the wild beasts will be changed and their natures will be reset.
The greatness of the God [YHVH] family
Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
God the Father and Jesus Christ will look to and accept the sincerely repentant who are humble and without pride or guile; who seek to live by every Word of God with all their hearts.
66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite [humble] spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Now God proclaims that sacrifices will not be accepted if the offeror remains in his sin. The same is true of the New Covenant person who asks that the sacrifice of Christ be applied to himself, but continues in his sin; in which case the sacrifice of the Lamb of God will not be applied to him.
Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified [By having the sacrifice of Christ applied to blot out their sincerely repented past sins.].
Isaiah 66:3 He that killeth an ox [If we offer sacrifice, including asking that the New Covenant sacrifice of Christ to be applied to us, and we remain unrepentant continuing in our wickedness we remain guilty of sin and we will not be forgiven.] is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
God will not accept our worship if we practice hypocrisy, asking forgiveness for sin while refusing to STOP sinning.
When the unrepentant who stand on their own ways and the traditions of men, idolizing men, false tradition and organizations while claiming to be godly, engage in acts of worship and sacrifice; those acts of worship and sacrifice are an abomination to God the Father and Jesus Christ. Yes, even the Sabbath and Feasts of God become an abomination when they are kept by those who will not live by every Word of God.
66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
When today’s apostate lukewarm Ekklesia refuses to heed the warnings, they will be rejected by Jesus Christ (Rev 3:14-22) into the severe correction of great tribulation. The tribulation which they fear will come upon them because they trust in the false traditions of their idols of men and not in the Word of God.
66:5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
Those who are filled with zeal for learning and keeping every Word of God will rejoice at the coming of our Lord for his reward is with him. Those who will not heed the warning and turn in zeal to STOP sinning and learn and live by every Word of God: Shall be ashamed.
God the Father and Jesus Christ reject those who follow the false traditions of men and do what they think is right instead of what God’s Word says is right.
A prophecy of the establishment of the Kingdom of God
66:6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies. 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
There is always some labour before a birth and so it is with the coming Kingdom of God; the earth will travail in labour before the coming of Messiah the Christ.
66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
The earth will surely be saved by the coming of Christ WITH his resurrected chosen; God’s promises are SURE!
66:9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God. 66:10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
All of the godly and sincerely repentant will rejoice at the coming of Christ to resurrect God’s chosen (Jude 1:14) and rule the whole earth as King of all kings; the whole earth will be filled with joy once people see and understand the glory and love of the Creator!
Then humanity will be spiritually nourished by the Word of God which will flow out from Jerusalem like a river to save humanity and will bring all the nations and peoples then living into the Kingdom and Family of God.
66:11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations [Humanity will be filled with the sincere milk of the Word of God flowing out from Jerusalem, and will be consoled thereby over all our past trials.]; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
66:12 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her [The whole Word of God will flow forth from Jesus Christ in Jerusalem.] sides, and be dandled upon her knees. 66:13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
Those who actually serve God by diligently seeking to learn and live by every Word of God, will see his blessings on the faithful and his wrath against his enemies who refuse to live by every Word of God.
66:14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies. 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. 66:16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
Those who eat physical abominations or internalize spiritual abominations and worship the false traditions of idols of men; will be severely corrected and if they refuse to sincerely repent they will ultimately be eternally destroyed.
66:17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD. 66:18 For I know their works and their thoughts:
Spiritually this refers to eating [internalizing] or taking into our minds, the unclean false teachings of wicked men who do not live by every Word of God, instead of standing on the pure truth of the whole Word of God.
Those who stand on the false traditions of men, or who money, idolize men and corporate churches or place anything at all above living by every Word of God; those who have not placed a difference between the Holy and the profane, or between the spiritually clean and the spiritually unclean; will be severely corrected and if they refuse to sincerely repent they will ultimately be destroyed.
Jesus Christ will gather all nations to fight at Jerusalem and he will slay very many; then those that survive will return to their homelands and proclaim the might and glory of God.
. . . it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. 66:19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
All nations will sincerely repent and help to bring an again united Israel back to the land of God’s promise.
66:20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
A repentant Levi will then be called into the New Covenant of Jeremiah 31 and the sons of Zadok (Ez 44:15, 48:11) will serve physically in the new Ezekiel Temple which will be built by Jesus Christ in Jerusalem.
66:21 And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD. 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
The resurrected chosen will be spirit priests, teaching the nations; and the physical Levites and Priests of Zadok will again serve Jesus Christ [Yeshua Mashiach] and God the Father in the new Ezekiel Temple in Jerusalem; to be built on the Holy Mount (Ezekiel 40-48)!
66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
After Christ comes, all humanity will worship God on his Holy Sabbaths, the annual Festivals, Appointed Times and New Moons (Zech 14:16:19).
66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against [the Word of God] me: for their worm [maggots eat until they change into flies] shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched [the fire will not be quenched until it consumes all of its fuel; the burning dead bodies]; and they [the wicked who will not live by every Word of God] shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
