Isaiah 54 – 55

Isaiah 54

The New Covenant

Physical Israel will yet sincerely repent and enter into the New Covenant when Messiah comes; and then she shall bring forth much fruit!

Isaiah 54:1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife [because physical Israel/Judah rebelled and killed her Husband], saith the LORD.

Judah by killing her Husband [the very Creator made flesh], became a widow and spiritually barren.  The covenant of marriage called the Mosaic Covenant between Israel and God [between Jesus Christ the Creator and physical Israel] was broken, ending with the death of the Husband.

Jesus promised that he will yet make a New Marriage Covenant with Israel and Judah (Jer 31;31); and that New Covenant will bear much spiritual fruit.

54:2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; 54:3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

When Christ comes and physical Israel/Judah is delivered; they will surely sincerely repent and prosper greatly as an example of righteousness and a blessing to all the earth!

54:4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

When Messiah the Christ comes and all Israel/Judah is sincerely repentant they will enter into a New Covenant of marriage with the LORD and shall prosper greatly.

The sincerely repented sins of the past will no more be remembered when the fruitless Mosaic marriage of physical Israel to God – which marriage covenant they broke; is replaced by the New Marriage Covenant with the Mighty One of Jacob (Jer 31:31).

54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Here it is clearly stated that the Creator was the Husband of Israel/Judah : he will yet enter a New Covenant of Marriage with them at his coming to rule the whole earth (Jer 31).

54:6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken [left alone because of her many sins and adulteries and her murder of her Husband] and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused [rejected for Israel/Judah’s many adulteries with idols and false ways], saith thy God.

When Christ comes with his resurrected chosen, he will yet choose the wife that had forsaken him; for she will surely sincerely repent and turn to him with a whole heart, and he will take her to himself: Making a New Covenant with her by adding all physical Israel to the New Covenant of the spiritual first fruits; and then grafting all nations into that same New Covenant of Spiritual Israel!

Jesus Christ will again gather to him his beloved Israel when he comes with his chosen.

54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. 54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

Imagine the love that caused a Husband to give his life to save his rebellious and adulterous murderous wife who had rejected him for many lovers!

Imagine the love of the bride when she comes to her senses and sincerely repents having her appalling wickedness forgiven and being accepted and married to that Husband again!

54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee [again].

Christ will never again have a reason for another tribulation to correct his  beloved; for she will have fully repented of her adulteries and sins and turned to her Husband to learn and live by every Word of God.

The Covenant of peace is the peace between God and the sincerely repentant who will make up the worldwide spiritual Israel of the New Covenant!

A few individuals have been called out to espousal in a New Covenant over the last six thousand years, they will enter that Covenant fully at the resurrection of the chosen and the Marriage of the Lamb.

Then after Christ returns with his bride all nations will be called into that same spiritual New Covenant of espousal to Jesus Christ.  Then as they grow spiritually and reach the end of their lives [their period of espousal], the faithful will be changed to spirit and will become a full part of the spiritual bride of the New Covenant of Marriage with the Lamb!

As each person is ready, they will be changed into spirit, and have their part in the early harvest spiritual bride of Christ.

The week does not end on the sixth day and the harvest of first fruits is not complete until the end of the seventh millennial one thousand year “Day”.

The Spiritual New Covenant is finalized with a change into very spirit and the gift of eternal life!   The espousal in the flesh will bring a full entry into the New Covenant as each person is resurrected to become a part of the spirit bride.

54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

Once changed to spirit and fully entered into the New Covenant of marriage to the Lamb; that New Marriage Covenant will last forever (Jer 31)!

54:11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. 54:12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

54:13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

When all people learn the teachings [doctrines] and Word of God the Father and Jesus Christ they will sincerely repent to become completely at one with God the Father and with the Son; and that will bring the people into universal peace, harmony and fulfillment.

Internalizing every Word of God brings true spiritual unity with God the Father and Jesus Christ; and as every person comes into a full unity with God they will be of one mind with one another.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to have spiritual unity in a spiritual organization by tolerating the false teachings that divide us from God!

It is when we are all repentant and become humble and zealous to learn and live by every Word of God, that true peace and unity will come.

54:14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

Righteousness is defined by every Word of God and all the Holy Scriptures.  The people of God will never fear again after Christ comes to deliver the repentant and save his people who trust in him and God the Father.

Yet, after the end of the millennium the enemy will be released and will come one last time; but our Mighty One will defend his people.

54:15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee [against Jerusalem and Israel] shall fall for thy sake. 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth [with bellows] the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee [after Messiah comes he will be the protector of his sincerely repentant and faithful bride]  shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Those who search the scriptures and prove all things holding fast to the Word of God to keep it always; shall have the heritage of God’s righteousness.  Those who have no zeal to learn and keep every Word of God will surely perish unless they sincerely repent.

Isaiah 55

The millennial invitation to all nations to repent and receive the salvation of Jesus Christ is addressed to everyone; not just physical Israel.

Isaiah 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth [after righteousness], come ye to the waters [the Holy Spirit], and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk [wine representing the blood of the sacrifice of Christ and milk being the milk of God’s Word] without money and without price.

55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, [Jesus Christ and the whole Word of God] and eat ye that which is good [eat and internalize the whole Word of God], and let your soul delight itself in [the abundance of spiritual food (meat)] fatness.

Why do you pay to hear the traditions of men when you should be diligently seeking the truth of God?

55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear [and obey (Rom 2:13)], and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Hear and be diligent to learn and keep the whole Word of God and you will find salvation there!   Be like David in zeal for every Word of God (Psalm 119); and you shall receive the mercy that David received.

55:4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

In the Kingdom of God, the resurrected David will be an example of sincere repentance and a teacher of righteousness for the people as the resurrected king over a united Israel/Judah; while Jesus Christ the High Priest of God the Father will be King of kings over all the earth!

55:5 Behold, thou [after the coming tribulation the nations of the earth will reach out to Israel because of David their king and their example of godliness] shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

God through Isaiah calls on today’s Spiritual Ekklesia to sincerely repent and seek God to live by every Word of God before we are corrected in great tribulation along with physical Israel/Judah.

55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Jesus Christ will apply his sacrifice to the repentant and those who are zealous to live every Word of God; and the sincerely repentant who go and sin no more will be abundantly pardoned!

Turn to the Word of God and do not lean to your own ways, for the Word of God is high above the thoughts and ways of all men!  Let us turn to learn and keep the whole Word of God and all of his doctrine and commandments in repentant righteous enthusiastic zeal.

55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Living by the sound doctrine of Holy Scripture, living by every Word of God; brings the gift of the Holy Spirit which is like the rain that gives life to the earth; it gives life to the sincerely zealous who diligently live by every Word of  God.

Jesus Christ will glorify his resurrected chosen who are intensely zealous to live by every Word of God, and the nations will flow unto them to receive instruction in righteousness from the the King of kings and the resurrected faithful zealous chosen.

Always prove all things by the Word of God, abhorring and rooting out all false traditions and false teachings; sincerely repenting from all past sins, committing to STOP sinning and then going forward to live by every Word of God.

55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

The zealous DOERS of the Word of God will be justified (Romans 2:13) and will be in the resurrection to eternal life; and later all of humanity will also sincerely repent and be brought into the family of God.

55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

The whole earth will be physically fruitful, and the Word of God will be exceedingly fruitful as all humanity is brought into the Family of God the Almighty!

55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

Thorns and briers are types of the wicked which will perish; and the grand trees and good fruit and wheat are types of godly men (John 15 and Lev 23:40) who will receive God’s gift of eternal life.
