If we desire righteousness, we must look to the instructions and examples of the Holy Scriptures.
Isaiah 51:1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. 51:2 Look unto [the example of] Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
After our correction we will turn to follow the example of Abraham and live by every Word of God in true faithful zeal, and the Eternal Righteous One will deliver the sincerely repentant.
51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
Jesus Christ will rule the whole earth from Jerusalem and spiritual and physical Israel will become a good example to the nations to keep the righteousness of every Word of God.
Then Physical and Spiritual Israel shall be a light of godly example to all nations.
51:4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
When Christ comes with his resurrected chosen; the nations will repent and the salvation of learning and living by every Word of God will pour forth out of Jerusalem! And the law of God will be kept by all peoples, and all nations will put their trust in the whole doctrine of Holy Scripture and every Word of God the Father and Jesus Christ!
Sound Doctrine [the Word of God] IS SALVATION!
51:5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles [isles are symbolic of nations] shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
If we say that doctrine is not important; then we reject salvation from eternal destruction in Gehenna.
51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
The law and teachings of God define righteousness and are the way to the salvation of our God. Only a person trapped in the dark pit of spiritual ignorance says that doctrine is not important. Doctrine is God the Father and Jesus Christ in print! Doctrine is the way to salvation!
Those who revile sound doctrine are damned unless they repent.
51:7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings. 51:8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm [maggot] shall eat them [their dead bodies] like wool: but my righteousness [doctrine, teachings] shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
As Christ called out and saved Rahab when Jericho fell; as Christ dried up the Red Sea and delivered his Called Out; so Messiah the Christ will deliver the sincerely repentant of spiritual and physical Israel at the establishment of the Kingdom of God!
51:9 Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon? 51:10 Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over? 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
Jesus Christ will deliver the people. Why do some fear men and do not fear the Mighty One of Jacob?
51:12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; 51:13 And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
Those who are captive to idolizing men and false tradition should hasten to our Deliverer, and not remain in captivity to false lying deceiving men who teach that doctrine [truth] and obedience are not important.
51:14 The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.
The Eternal, the Mighty One who divided the Red Sea, will deliver all sincerely repentant people who STOP sinning
51:15 But I am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name.
The Eternal has put his words in the mouth of his true servants, to warn them to repentance and to prepare the earth for Christ’s coming.
51:16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.
Jerusalem will be called to repentance through her correction.
This is also a call to repentance for the Ekklesia, to turn to the Eternal and to STOP doing our own ways instead of being faithful to the Word of God; and to STOP idolizing men, organizations and false traditions.
51:17 Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem [the capital representing the whole nation of physical and spiritual Israel], which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.
None among the wicked can bring deliverance; only the LORD of Hosts.
51:18 There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand of all the sons that she hath brought up.
Jerusalem as the capital city is symbolic of all Israel, and in due time Jerusalem will be the capital of the whole earth, representing all humanity. Jerusalem as the site of God’s Temple is symbolic of spiritual Israel, the faithful people in whom God dwells through his Spirit.
This is about the soon [now at the very door] coming correction of those who will not live by every Word of God
51:19 These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee? 51:20 Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
Jesus Christ will deliver us from the intoxication of our pride and false teachings [doctrine] with the cup of correction; then he will give the cup of correction to the enemy, until all the earth repents to keep the doctrine [teachings] of living by every Word of God.
51:21 Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine: 51:22 Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again: 51:23 But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
Jerusalem in the Kingdom of God
Put on the beautiful garments of righteousness [every Word of God], for all within the millennial Jerusalem shall be circumcised in flesh and in spirit; converted to the doctrine of Christ – which is to live by every Word of God the Father – and all will be filled with the Spirit of God.
No one polluted with unclean [false] teachings [doctrine] shall be permitted in the city.
Physical millennial Jerusalem is a type of the New Jerusalem the eternal (Rev 21), into which only those passionately dedicated to live by every Word of God will be allowed to enter.
Isaiah 52:1 Awake, awake; put on thy strength [the Word of God], O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments [the righteousness of every Word of God], O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean [which includes any sin].
Jerusalem and the nations will be loosed from the chains of captivity by REPENTANCE and the application of the sacrifice of Christ, and by faithfulness to learn and keep the whole doctrine of Holy Scripture.
52:2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
Today’s spiritual Ekklesia has sold ourselves into man worship and idolatry for no advantage, and have left off any Christ-like zeal to live by every Word of God.
Repent quickly and follow ONLY God the Father and Jesus Christ, following men ONLY as they follow Christ; it is then that we shall be redeemed through living by every W0rd of God and by the sacrifice of Christ, which will then be applied to us upon sincere repentance of all past sins.
52:3 For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money. 52:4 For thus saith the Lord GOD, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
The name and ways of God the Father and Jesus Christ are blasphemed continually by those who teach men to follow themselves and exalt themselves above the Word of God.
Today the Ekklesia is full of blasphemy! How do we blaspheme? We blaspheme God by calling ourselves God’s people with our tongues, while in our deeds we reject any zeal to live by every Word of God and instead follow our idols of men!
52:5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.
Jesus Christ shall reveal his holiness by correcting all nations and then delivering the sincerely repentant.
52:6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.
How wonderful is the day of the deliverance of all the repentant of the earth, and the day of Pentecost when the Kingdom of God will be established over all the earth and God’s Spirit is poured out on all flesh (Joel 2:28)! In that day the nations shall shout in rejoicing throughout all the earth! THY GOD REIGNS!
Every person will repent and every one shall know the LORD and all humanity will be united with God the Father and Jesus Christ: That is true spiritual unity!
52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! 52:8 Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.
Our Mighty One shall come and deliver all nations, gathering them unto himself! That is true Spiritual Unity!
Jesus Christ will put an end to the abominable tolerance of sin and false teachings, which is the Babel of spiritual division; and he will bring all people into unity with God the Father and with himself!
52:9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem. 52:10 The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
Let every person depart from all physically and spiritually unclean [false doctrines] things, and wash ourselves clean with the righteousness of the whole Word of God!
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church [spiritual body of the faithful] , not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing [spotless from all sin and any uncleanness of false teachings]; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Psalm 119:126 It is time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void thy law [by doing what we think is right instead of zealously living by every Word of God (Mat 4:4)].
We make the Word of God of no effect, by teaching for doctrine the commandments of men.
Mark 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
Psalm 119:127 Therefore I [all the godly] love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.
119:128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.
The godly person hates every false teaching [doctrine] and diligently proves all things by the whole Word of God.
119:129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.
119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light [of truth]; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Depart from sin and the pollution of every physically and spiritually unclean thing. Turn to zeal for the Eternal with all our hearts.
Isaiah 52:11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
When Christ delivers his people at his coming, they will go forth in confidence in him and without fear.
52:12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.
Christ the Messiah will rule over the whole earth in the wisdom of every the Word of God and absolute unity with God the Father!
52:13 Behold, my servant [Messiah particularly, and all the servants of God] shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
Jesus Christ the Lamb of God has been sacrificed for the sins of the world, and all nations will sincerely repent and be covered with the sacrificial blood when he comes with his resurrected chosen (Joel 2:28).
52:14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: 52:15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
More prophecies of Messiah the Christ [Hebrew: Yeshua Mashiach] and his coming in the flesh.
He would be a plain ordinary man in appearance; growing up totally dedicated to God the Father, as we should also be.
Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
Not recognized by most and despised by most for his teachings – which were different from the religious establishment – he was rejected by most.
53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Jesus Christ [Hebrew: Yeshua] was sacrificed for our transgressions and bore the sins of the sincerely repentant, yet most of the people did not understand or repent.
53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
When we repent and follow all Christ’s teachings [doctrine] zealously, we will be spiritually healed and our sins will be covered, so that we are reconciled to God the Father in heaven.
In context, this is about sin, repentance and the removal of the sin that separates us from God the Father; to heal our relationship and bring peace between us and God the Father in heaven. This is not directly about physical healing.
53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Every person has gone astray at times and if we repent and turn to learn and live by every Word of God the Father; the sacrifice of Christ will be applied to us and Christ will bear our iniquities in order that we may be reconciled to God the Father.
53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Jesus Christ allowed himself to be killed for humanity and did not resist his killers.
53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Christ was taken into the prison to be beaten and then taken out to be killed.
53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
Christ was buried in the tomb of a wealthy man, because he had done no sin.
53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Yeshua’s willing sacrifice, fulfilling God the Father’s will in faithful obedience to the very grave was pleasing to God the Father; for by this means many people will be saved and reconciled to the Father. Therefore God the Father raised him up in a resurrection back to spirit and back to the glory which he had had with God the Father before giving up that glory to be made flesh.
53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
Christ will see the fruit of his work; for many will sincerely repent and be justified by his sacrifice and resurrection. Jesus Christ bears the sins of the sincerely repentant; and they learn by his example and instructions, to do the Father’s will and to live by every Word of God the Father.
53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
Because Yeshua [Jesus Christ] gave his life to fulfill God the Father’s will and to save humanity; he will be exalted by God the Father as King of kings over all humanity!
Let us repent and SIN NO MORE!
53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
