Isaiah 45:1 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; 45:2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD [YHVH], which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
Cyrus was foretold to be Christ’s unknowing servant by the one who later gave up his Godhood to become flesh as Jesus Christ.
45:4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
The prophecy calls Cyrus by name, well before his birth; so that we all may know that God directs the affairs of men, whether they know it or not. Download the “From Abram to Jesus” manuscript for a fascinating history of the rebuilding of the temple.
45:5 I am the LORD [the ever living YHVH family], and there is none else, there is no God [Elohim, mighty ones, God family] beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun [from the east to the west], and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am [the Father and the Son are] the LORD [YHVH], and there is none else.
45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil [God did not create sin; God creating evil is a reference to God inflicting correction for sin; God does not create wickedness]: I the LORD do all these things.
God wants all humanity to live by the righteousness of every Word of God; not by the wickedness of evil sin.
45:8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.
45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? 45:10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?
Woe unto the elder or church leader who strives against God the Father and Jesus Christ by teaching his own ways in the name of Christ. Woe unto the churchmen who teach their own ways instead of every Word of God.
45:11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. 45:12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
God the Father and Jesus Christ inspired the prophets to reveal things to come; in order to demonstrate God’s majesty, power and wisdom to men when they happen.
45:13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

45:14 Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee [Cyrus], and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no [other] God.
The Egyptians and Ethiopians and the men of the south served Cyrus and in the millennium they will serve the King of kings in sincere repentance.
45:15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
God hides himself from the wicked and sinful and reveals himself to all those who love and live by every Word of God.
45:16 They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols [including idols of men, false traditions and corporate entities].
All those who trust in idols will be ashamed; all those who put their trust in false teachers who mislead them and do not put their trust in the Word of God will be confounded.
45:17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
All those who sincerely repent and put their trust in God the Father and Jesus Christ will be saved.
45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. 45:19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
The doctrine of the whole Word of God is truth; and the Word of God is Righteousness!
45:20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
When Christ comes he will call all nations to live by every Word of God the Father.
45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God [Elohim, Mighty Ones] else beside me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me.
There is no Elohim [Mighty Ones] beside the God family [YHVH] of God the Father and Jesus Christ.
45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
The Being who gave up is God-hood be become flesh as Jesus Christ, redeemed repentant humanity with his own life; he is our Redeemer and Savior!
45:24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. 45:25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
The true God is infinitely greater than any idols of men
Isaiah 46:1 Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast. 46:2 They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
False gods must be carried by man or beast.
Idols including men and organizations cannot deliver us: Why then do we exalt ourselves and refuse to live by every Word of God? Why do men lie and claim that loyalty to some man is the same as loyalty to God?
Surely most of today’s Spiritual Ekklesia will be corrected like ancient Israel and Judah for the same sins of idolatry and Sabbath pollution.
46:3 Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb: 46:4 And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
It is God who saves his people not any idol or man who teaches contrary to the Word of God. Idols are borne by men; but the true God carries [delivers] his people and is not carried by them.
46:5 To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
Is God like the idols of men? Is he like some man? Are his teachings and commandments like the false traditions and doctrines imagined by the mind of man?
46:6 They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship. 46:7 They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
Why do we reject sanctifying God’s holy Sabbath and living by every Word of God? How can a man say that he loves Jesus Christ and God the Father and the brethren; and then refuse to live by every Word of God?.
46:8 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind [remember God and all his ways], O ye transgressors.
Stand up and be men! Stand fearlessly on the Word of God and be zealous to live by every Word of God in Christ-like zeal; even if it means being ostracized by false brethren who have no zeal for God and his Word!
Oh, there are very many who give lip service to the Word of God, but God condemns us when our actions do not match our words.
Isaiah 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men
Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Remember Egypt and the wonders of the God who gave up his God-hood to become flesh as Jesus Christ; remember the destruction of all those who wanted to turn back into bondage!
46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 46:11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
The proud and stubbornly self-willed, are now facing imminent severe correction; while salvation is about to come to the sincerely repentant and humble who love God enough to live by his every Word.
46:12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: 46:13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
When Christ comes God will call all people to sincere repentance.
