The Greatness of God!
The coming of Christ, repentance, forgiveness and the establishment of the Kingdom of God
Isaiah 40:1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. 40:2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare [correction] is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.
John Baptist prepared the way for the coming and ministry of Yeshua [Jesus Christ] in the first century; and another shall teach enthusiastic zeal to live by every Word of God; preparing the way in this latter day for our Mighty One to come to his people.
Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of [turning God the Father to the people] the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children [teach the people repentance to turn to God the Father] to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Luke 1:17 And he [John Baptist, and the latter day Elijah] shall go before him [Christ] in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready [to prepare the people for the first and second coming of Christ] a people prepared for the Lord.
Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway [preparing the way for the people to accept Christ at his coming, by teaching repentance from sin] for our God.
Those who are lowly and humbly zealous to live by every Word of God shall be exalted and shall rise up to meet him in the resurrection of the chosen. The governments and mighty [mountains and hills] of the earth shall be humbled and brought low. The roughness of wickedness shall be destroyed and made clean and smooth in righteousness.
40:4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: 40:5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
All physical things are momentary and transient, passing away in a short time; the ONLY things that really matter, that are lasting and of real value; are the spiritual things of God.
40:6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: 40:7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Let the faithful messengers and watchmen of God cry aloud!!! Let them proclaim the righteousness of the Word of God to everyone!!!
The law will go forth from Jerusalem
Isaiah 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
Isaiah 40:9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
God will reward all those who are faithfully zealous to live by every Word of God. His reward will be eternal life and a good office in God’s kingdom.
The work of Christ is to remove all the blemishes of sin and destroy all tolerance for false lying doctrines which separate the people from God the Father.
40:10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
Messiah the Christ will gather his chosen elect and feed them with the words of life eternal; he will also gather all humanity when he comes and feed them with the words of life, the sound doctrine of God the Father and Jesus Christ, in the kingdom of God.
Jesus Christ will NEVER tolerate the sin of false doctrine in his kingdom!
40:11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd [the goodness of his word]: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
Why do men rebel and sin against the Word of God? Why will those who call themselves by God’s name exalt themselves above God’s Word? Why will they tolerate false teachings instead of rebuking lies and every false way and sin?
40:12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? 40:13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? 40:14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
40:15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. 40:16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering. 40:17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
40:18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
The wicked make their own gods in their ignorance; which one of them is like the Eternal?
Which one of the men or organizations that we idolize comes as close to Christ for righteousness and greatness; as a speck of dust in comparison to the entire universe?
40:19 The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. 40:20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image [of wood], that shall not be moved.
How is it that we, who are supposed to have God’s Spirit and understand his ways, do not know his might and glory and power and wisdom and righteousness?
Have we not heard of his wonders and how he parted the sea for his followers and destroyed the wicked? Can we not remember that those who tasted of his glorious deliverance and then turned back to Egypt, were destroyed in the wilderness?
40:21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle [yes they knew the world was round from most ancient times] of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers [for multitudes]; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
The proud and the strong among men are nothing before him!
40:23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
The wicked mighty men of the earth will vanished away, before the Glory of Christ.
40:24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
Who is like our God? Who is mighty to save his zealously faithful?
40:25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host [the stars of the universe] by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
Why do the leaders and elders say that they are righteous in the sight of God as they do what is right in their own eyes and turn aside from God’s Word to follow after the false traditions of men?
40:27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
God will save his zealously faithful who are diligent to learn of him and to live by every Word of God
40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
In the tribulation, the physically strong young men who rely on their own strength and ways, will faint and fall in their affliction
40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
The zealous to live by every Word of God will be strong in HIM, to overcome sin! Our Mighty One, our Refuge, our Salvation, our High Tower of Strength; will deliver his zealously faithful virgin [the faithful who abstain from false teachings and sin] bride from death and the grave!
40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Let the nations be silent before the Mighty One of Jacob; let the people come before God in sincere repentance, kneeling at his feet.
Isaiah 41:1 Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment. 41:2 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot [called people to serve God], gave the nations before him, and made him [made the righteous to] rule over kings? he gave [God gives the wicked] them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow. 41:3 He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet.
41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.
The nations will be filled with fear at the coming of Christ. They will repent before him and learn to live by every Word of God.
41:5 The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came.
When the LORD comes, people will sincerely repent and encourage others to also repent and serve the Eternal
41:6 They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.
Jesus Christ shall deliver Israel and make sure that Israel will never again be moved away from God
41:7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.
41:8 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
Israel will be recalled from all nations where she has been scattered; to serve the Eternal in righteousness and truth. Messiah the Christ speaks words of comfort and encouragement to physical Israel and especially to spiritual Israel.
41:9 Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. 41:11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
God will help his people both physical and spiritual Israel; when they turn in sincere repentance to serve God the Father and Jesus Christ his High Priest. May God speed the day!
41:12 Thou shalt seek them [the wicked], and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee [against God]: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
The God of Israel is also her Redeemer who died for her and was resurrected back to the glory that he had given up to be made flesh
41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. 41:14 Fear not, thou worm [maggot] Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
41:15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains [governments of the world], and beat them small, and shalt make the hills [lesser local governments] as chaff. 41:16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away [like chaff], and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
This is speaking of both physical water and the water of life eternal; the Holy Spirit.
41:17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. 41:18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
41:19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah [acacia] tree, and the myrtle, and the [olive] oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: 41:20 That they [the people] may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
Jesus Christ pleads with his people spiritual Israel as he will plead with physical Israel and with all humanity.
41:21 Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons [give a good reason for your actions in relying on your own wisdom and doing your own ways], saith the King of Jacob.
Reveal the ancient past, or accurately predict the future, if you can. Were you living in ancient times when the Lord was there? Do you have the wisdom and power to declare the future and to make your declaration come to pass; as Christ has?
41:22 Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come.
Can you demonstrate that you are gods and equal to the Creator, as the dragon told you in the Garden of Eden.
41:23 Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed [impressed with the greatness of men], and behold it together.
The false traditions of unrepentant men who think they are some great thing are nothing; and wicked men are nothing before Jesus Christ! Those who follow men and not Christ choose the abomination of sorrow, decay and death.
41:24 Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you.
Jesus Christ came from the north [heaven] to be born of a woman; he shall call upon God the Father continually from his waking to his sleeping. He conquered sin and false teachings; and he was raised up and will come again and destroy all false teachings, sin and unrepentant men, great or small.
41:25 I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.
Only Christ was present with God the Father at the creation; there is none righteous but God the Father and Jesus Christ.
41:26 Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.
A messenger bringing the good tidings of the near future and the way of salvation will be given to the people to teach them and prepare the way of the Lord.
41:27 The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.
No man is equal in wisdom with God so that he can argue back to Christ. Why then do we follow our own ways and the false traditions of men instead of exalting out Lord?
41:28 For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.
The teachings of men apart from every Word of God are lies and paths to emptiness and destruction. Idolizing men and corporate churches and obeying them above the Word of God; is an abomination to God.
41:29 Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.
