Preparing the Way of the Lord

Isaiah 29 – 30

Isaiah 29

Ariel [Lion of God] is the personification of Jerusalem and as the capital, Jerusalem is a type of the nation itself; both physically and spiritually.

Sacrifice without obedience is an exercise in futility. Claims of being God’s people without zealously obeying God are foolishness and vanity.

Isaiah 29:1 Woe to Ariel, to Ariel [Jerusalem], the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.

God corrected Jerusalem and Judea in ancient times and God will correct today’s modern Jerusalem, Judah and Israel with a heavy heart for he loves her.

29:2 Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.

Jerusalem would be occupied and trodden down of the Gentiles often through the ages, but at this end time she shall be trodden down for 42 months and then Messiah will come to deliver her.

29:3 And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee. 29:4 And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.

29:5 Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.

When Christ comes with his chosen he will deliver the city which will then become the capital of all the earth.

29:6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

Then all her past troubles will seem like a very bad dream!

29:7 And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as [like] a dream of a night vision.

29:8 It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

Physical and spiritual Jerusalem and all the nations have become intoxicated and drunk with pride and self-will, therefore we cannot avoid the correction being poured out to try the whole earth.

29:9 Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink. 29:10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

Today’s church leaders and the national leaders do not understand what is happening, nor do they understand the warnings from God; for they are proud, self-willed and filled up to the brim with self- justifications.

29:11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: 29:12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

Speaking to the nations and speaking directly to today’s spiritual Ekklesia who have made a baptismal commitment to live by every Word of God; Isaiah goes directly to the issue:  We call ourselves godly and then we do what is right in our own eyes and reject any Christ-like zeal to live by every Word of God.

29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Jesus Christ will reject the lukewarm who are hot for their own ways and cold for living by the Word of God and God will allow us to fall into great tribulation.  Because the leaders and elders of today’s spiritual Ekklesia reject living by every Word of God, in order to follow idols of men and false traditions, they have NO understanding of the Word of God.

Almighty God rejected ancient Israel and Judah; and God is rejecting US today (Rev 3:14-22)

God speaks to those ancient people and today God speaks directly to the latter day leaders and elders of today’s spiritual Ekklesia.

God tells them and God is telling US the precise reason why they and we are being rejected and corrected:  Because they and we reject the knowledge of the godly to cleave to errors and false ways, and we reject any zeal to live by every Word of God!

YES, this is talking about US; today’s modern spiritual Ekklesia!

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children [latter day descendants].

Isaiah 29:14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid [because we reject any zeal to live by the Law and Word of God in favor of living by the words of our idols of men].

The present day elders and leaders of the spiritual Ekklesia who seek to hide their despicable deeds behind an appearance of religiosity: are KNOWN to God!

29:15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

Those who teach tolerance for sin and false teachings; those who lead people away from and separate them from God the Father and Jesus Christ; are in rebellion against their Maker.

These wicked liars who teach that the tolerance for the sin which separates us from God is some kind of supposed “spiritual unity”; teaching the abomination that unity with men is better than a true spiritual unity with God the Father and Jesus Christ, shall be corrected and the unrepentant shall be destroyed.

29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down [tolerating evil and teaching against the good] shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

Very soon now after the tribulation when Christ comes with his resurrected chosen, the Spirit of God will be poured out on all flesh (Joel 2:28); and humanity will have their eyes opened in wholehearted repentance and zeal to learn and keep the whole Word of God.

29:17 Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest? 29:18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. 29:19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

All of the wicked will be brought to nothing, and those who reject any zeal to live by the Word of God will be consumed in the terrible correction.

29:20 For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch [seek evil] for iniquity are cut off:

The false accuser and the bribe taker and the false judge, will be destroyed out of the Kingdom of Justice and true Equity.

29:21 That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth [sinners] in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

Abraham will be raised up and he will rejoice, rejoicing that his children are brought to understand the wisdom of God and have turned in sincere repentance to KEEP the Will and Word of God the Father!

29:22 Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale. 29:23 But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.

29:24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.

Isaiah 30

Woe to all those who do not seek to learn and live by every Word of God the Father.  WOE to all those who follow any person or organization in place of the Eternal!  WOE to all those who cover themselves with pride to go their own ways and are not clothed with the righteousness of every Word of God!

Isaiah 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

Israel was delivered from Pharaoh and Egypt, which was prophetically a type of bondage to sin.

Woe to all those who desire to go back into the bondage to sin which Christ delivered us out of.  Woe to all those who teach tolerance for sin and false doctrine for the sake of unity with men!  Which things separate us from spiritual unity with God the Father and Jesus Christ!

Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Isaiah 30:2 That walk to go down into Egypt [back into sin], and have not asked at my mouth [have not sought the Word of God]; to strengthen themselves [to trust in men and sin, and the ways of wickedness] in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!

Those who trust in the ways of sin, false teachings and idols of men, instead of passionately living by every Word of God shall be confounded.

30:3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

When the remnant of Judah which Nebuchadnezzar had left on the land went down into Egypt [more in Jeremiah] they found no safety there. When today’s church leaders and elders water down true sound doctrine and reject knowledge from God to seek numbers and money from the worldly; trusting in the worldly and not putting their trust in God to obey him, they will find no safety there.

30:4 For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.

Ancient Judah was made ashamed and today’s spiritually lukewarm Ekklesia will also be ashamed for trusting in their own ways and the worldly, instead of being diligent to live by every Word of God in Christ-like zeal.

30:5 They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.

30:6 The burden of the beasts [nations] of the south [south of Egypt, Africa]: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit [not help them but carry away all their possessions] them.

Just like physical Egypt could not help Judah against ancient Babylon; today our pride, our idols of men and our false traditions cannot save us from God’s correction.

30:7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.

God tells Isaiah to write and record that Israel and Judah are a rebellious people.

This has also become true of the spiritual Ekklesia in this latter day; for they follow men and corporations, making idols of them and going their own ways; rejecting the law of their God just like ancient Judah and Israel did.

30:8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:

Those who teach tolerance for false teachings and refuse to rebuke sin; those who have no zeal to live by every Word of God, even if they have a certain zeal for men and organizations; may call themselves God’s people, but they are not.

30:9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:

Today, most elders reject the calls to sincere repentance, saying; “do not rebuke our sins; tell us how great, righteous and godly we are”.

30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things [don’t rebuke our sins], speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

Today, most leaders and elders and brethren reject the calls to repentance; they will do whatever their corporate idols tell them, even if it is contrary to scripture.

We will not question or prove out what we are taught according to the Holy Scriptures, we are content to follow men and we have no zeal to live by every Word of God.

We are willing to tolerate sin and false teachings for the sake of an appearance of organizational unity if we are told to do so; even though such tolerance is itself sin and separates us from spiritual unity with God the Father and Jesus Christ!

30:11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel [we cause god to reject us by exalting idols of men above God] to cease from before us.

Because we pollute God’s Sabbath and High Days, because we idolize men and exalt them above the Word of God: WE SHALL be rejected by God the Father and by Jesus Christ and we shall be afflicted with the rod of God’s correction.

30:12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:

Today’s spiritual Ekklesia is full of these sins and are loyal to men, equating loyalty to men with loyalty to God; they are like a decaying wall that is slowly bulging out, until in an instant it bursts and collapses.

30:13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.

Like a delicate vase dashed against a wall, today’s corporate Ekklesia will be smashed until there is nothing left of them. Then after these corporate idols are destroyed, the brethren will be humbled to turn to live by every Word of God.

30:14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.

Those who trust in dead and living men and not in the Word of God, will be corrected and their idols will be smashed.

Those who are repentant and are zealous to learn and keep the Word of the Mighty Father God, will be exalted to eternal life.

30:15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.

The unrepentant wicked who think that they will escape by fleeing, will be caught and corrected. Being unrepentant they will be deceived with strong delusion and leaning to their own understanding they will NOT follow the instructions of the servants of God.

30:16 But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.

God will fill both physical and spiritual Israel with terror; until we repent and become a beacon of righteousness.

30:17 One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.

God the Father and Jesus Christ are waiting for the sincere repentance of physical and spiritual Israel in our correction.  When we exalt the Word of God above men and our organizational idols, then God the Almighty will deliver us.

30:18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

When Christ comes with his resurrected chosen, the people will be sincerely repentant and will follow him to live by every Word of God; then he will cleanse us and he will heal us.

By God’s tender mercies all Israel and all humanity will repent and be grafted into spiritual Israel and they shall be saved.

30:19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.

Humanity will respond to God’s correction with sincere repentance and they will be filled with a Christ-like zeal to live by every Word of God. Sin and false teachings will not be tolerated.

30:20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

All who teach tolerance for false teachings and sin, and exalt corporate idols and men; will be cast aside and destroyed from among the people. No more will any person follow any man blindly and without question!

Instead people will live by every Word of God and if any man teaches a false Christ that will overlook sin; he will be destroyed from among the people as the false teacher that he is.

Deuteronomy 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 13:4 Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God

Brethren, today’s assemblies are mostly led and definitely filled with false teachers who have led you away from the Eternal God.  WHY? To test the brethren to prove if we are absolutely loyal to God!

The pillars will be given permanent offices in the New Jerusalem, because they stand on the foundation of Jesus Christ and the Holy Scriptures [the whole Word of God] forever!  They will be placed in leadership positions working directly with God the Father and with Jesus Christ forever.

This means that those who are to be chosen as pillars need to be tested to the ultimate degree, so that God the Father can be absolutely convinced of our fitness for those positions.

God has allowed these false teachers to test the brethren to see if we will be loyal to God, even under the most extreme deceptions and conditions; that is why today’s Ekklesia has been split up into groups, each one appealing to a different type of person with its own kind of deception.

Isaiah 30:22 Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.

When we repent and turn to follow every Word of God, God will give us the rain [water] of his Spirit.

In the Kingdom, because the nations are repentant and obeying God, he will give rain in due season and the blessings of the harvest; and God will pour out his Spirit on all flesh (Joel 2:28).

30:23 Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures. 30:24 The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.

The earth will be well watered physically in the Kingdom, and spiritually every government and person shall be filled with the waters of life; the Holy Spirit!

30:25 And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

At the time that Christ comes with his resurrected chosen the world will be in great spiritual darkness, which will be overcome by a great light of godliness when the Kingdom of God is established over all the earth.

When Christ comes in the day of dark cloud and gloominess; he shall shine brighter than the sun as he comes in his glory, and every eye shall see him and his brightly shining resurrected chosen.

30:26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

Jesus Christ will bring the armies of the wicked up to Jerusalem to demonstrate his power there.

30:27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire: 30:28 And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err.

Israel and Judah shall rejoice in the day of their deliverance.

30:29 Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe [bagpipes and joyful music] to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.

When he comes with his resurrected chosen, Messiah the Christ will destroy the armies of Asia and strike down the armies of the New Europe gathered at Jerusalem.

30:30 And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. 30:31 For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian [German] be beaten down, which smote with a rod. 30:32 And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it.

Tophet is the valley of Hinnom [Gehenna]; there Christ will destroy the armies of the wicked.

30:33 For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it.
