Isaiah 26 – 28

Isaiah 26

Judah and Jerusalem will repent and turn to God the Father and Messiah the Christ, rejoicing in Christ and his salvation and welcoming him as their Deliverer with shouts of Hosanna [Save us]. This time Israel and Judah will be truly sincerely repentant and they will embrace their Messiah with all their hearts in zeal and rejoicing over him!

In that day Messiah will stand upon the Mount of Olives and will enter Jerusalem amidst the rejoicing of the people.

Matthew 21:7 And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.

21:8 And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. 21:9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

In that day there shall be no more tolerance for sin and false teachings [false doctrines], and those who teach such lies will be destroyed.

Isaiah 26:1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. 26:2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

The proud and self-willed that exalt their own false traditions above the Word of God will be corrected, and if they will not repent such wicked people will be brought down to the grave, never again will they be allowed to deceive people away from their zeal to live by every Word of God [until Satan is released one thousand years later and for a very short time goes to deceive once again].

26:4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH [YHVH] is everlasting strength: 26:5 For he bringeth down them that [the wicked who dwell with pride will be humbled] dwell on high; the lofty city [Babylon the Great], he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

The zealous for the commandments, laws, ways, teachings [doctrines] and commandments of the Word of God, the zealous for EVERY Word of God, will tread underfoot the wicked who will not live by every Word of God.

Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, [who teach against zeal to live by every Word of God] shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

The wicked will be corrected and those who will not repent will be destroyed, while the zealous to live by every Word of God will be delivered to eternal life.

4:2 But unto you that fear my name [those that are filled with love and zeal for Christ and for every Word of God the Father] shall the Sun [light] of righteousness arise with healing in his wings [Messiah the Christ will come to heal the nations from sin]; and ye shall go forth [the faithful chosen will be resurrected to eternal life], and grow up as calves of the stall. 4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.

REMEMBER the commandments, teachings [doctrines], ways and will of God the Father and our espoused Husband; the Mighty One of the elect!

4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:

4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers [The latter day Elijah will turn the hearts of the people to God the Father and the heart of God the Father will be turned to accept the sincerely repentant people (Luke 1:17).] to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Isaiah 26:6 The foot [of the godly] shall tread it [the wicked] down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.

26:7 The way of the just is uprightness [as defined by the Holy Scriptures]: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just. 26:8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name [It is the desire of the hearts of the godly to do the will of God and exalt God’s AUTHORITY; it is the desire of the WICKED to exalt their own false traditions.], and to the remembrance of thee.  26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I [the godly will diligently seek God] seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

The godly carefully consider and think on every Word of God day and night, to learn them and to live by them (Psalm 119).

The wicked say that doctrine is not important and teach tolerance for false teachings; and that wickedness separates men from Jesus Christ and God the Father in heaven.

26:10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.

Even if the wicked are shown mercy and a blessing they will not turn from their evil ways; they shall persist in their wickedness. They will remain wicked still, considering themselves righteous and justifying themselves; therefore the patience of our Lord has run its course and our strong correction is at hand.

26:11 LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.

The wicked close their eyes to the Word of God; and the apostates refuse to follow the very One who they had committed themselves to follow at baptism. If they do not sincerely repent they will surely be destroyed.

26:12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

The godly faithful ad zealous for every Word of God will find peace and eternal life as their reward. The works of God [their fruits] are manifest in God’s faithful zealous elect.

26:13 O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

The faithful righteous live by every Word of God and will rejoice in him continually; for they know that men will perish and only God can save from death to eternal life.

26:14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

The unrepentant wicked will perish eternally, after they have had every chance to repent.

26:15 Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.

Israel will be brought back from her scattering and shall be delivered and increased by God the Father and Jesus Christ the King of kings.

26:16 LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.

Israel and Judah and also all humanity will sincerely repent at the chastening of the tribulation.

26:17 Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.

The nations will be afflicted; yet out of that affliction and humbling will come sincere repentance and the great joy of eternal salvation!

26:18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

The actions of humanity have brought forth the nothingness of vanity and wickedness.

26:19 Thy dead men [the chosen faithful will be resurrected by Messiah] shall live, together with my [Isaiah’s] dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust [the grave]: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

The zealous shall clothe themselves with the righteousness of God by sincere repentance from sin and a baptismal commitment to STOP sinning, and to become passionately zealous to live by every Word of God the Father in heaven.

26:20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. 26:21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

The zealous and faithful will follow the instructions of God’s two servants and go to the place prepared by God to be nourished there until the indignation is past; while the lukewarm to live by every Word of God will be corrected.

Isaiah 27

Isaiah 27:1 In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan [Satan and his Babylonian Mysteries system] the piercing [criminal] serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent [the evil system of the criminal 1281]; and he shall slay the dragon [serpent, Satan] that is in the (Rev 13:1) sea [of many peoples].

The deliverance of Israel; Israel is likened to a vineyard of red wine.

27:2 In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine. 27:3 I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.

When Messiah comes he will continually water his people with the water of the Holy Spirit.

27:4 Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together. 27:5 Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

Resist the KING of kings and be destroyed; or seek out his authority, wisdom and strength and live forever with many blessings.

27:6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

All Israel will finally be a blessing to the whole earth in the kingdom, and all nations and peoples will be grafted into spiritual Israel and the New Covenant.

27:7 Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

Can the resurrected spirit Christ be slain by his enemies? Can any resist his correction?

27:8 In measure, when it shooteth [when correction comes] forth, thou wilt debate [will try to save yourselves] with it: he stayeth his rough wind [ends his correction] in the day of the east wind.

The storm of the correction of Christ will end with the destruction of Babylon and the armies of Asia. The nations of the north and the east are called the east wind; which is stayed [stopped] by the coming of Christ.

It is then that Israel shall shoot up, growing in the nurture of Messiah.

27:9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

When Jacob repents and all the idols of Jacob are destroyed, the iniquity of Israel shall be purged out of today’s Spiritual Ekklesia and from all nations. Then when they repent and destroy their idols and turn to zealously live by every Word of God, we shall all be purged of our iniquity.

27:10 Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.

Yet, we will not repent until much destruction has come upon us.

27:11 When the boughs [branches] thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.

The unrepentant evil doer, who tolerates sin and false teachings and minimizes and belittles the doctrines [teachings] of the Word of God, shall be destroyed; for they are rebellious and ignorant, without any spiritual understanding.

27:12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.

Many of Israel who have been scattered on the earth will be brought back to Palestine when Christ comes.

27:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

The Assyrians and the Egyptians [and representatives from all nations] will worship God in the Ezekiel Temple in Jerusalem along with Israel.

Isaiah 28

The intoxicating sin of pride will be humbled

Isaiah 28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!

Woe to Ephraim who as the head of Israel represents all of the tribes including America, the British peoples; including Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Britain, Scandinavia and the Low Countries of Europe: Woe to all those who are intoxicated with pride and self-will; including the religious leaders who consider themselves the elect of God, yet refuse to live by every Word of God.

28:2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.

God will raise up a strong leader to correct us, the first and last leader of the now rising New Federal Europe, and he will overcome the nations of Israel [Judah, America, the British peoples, Scandinavia and the Low Countries].

28:3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet: 28:4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.

Ephraim will be humbled and her glory shall be trodden under foot. Before her eyes the glory of Ephraim will disappear.

28:5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people, 28:6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.

When Christ comes he will be the glory of the nations; and nations shall no longer glory in themselves. Christ will judge the nations and inspire sound judgment in his many resurrected chosen kings; and he shall save the righteous that repentantly learn of him and live by every Word of God.

28:7 But they also have erred through wine [pride], and through strong drink [arrogant self-will] are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink [proud arrogance], they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

Being drunken with alcohol is an example of being intoxicated with pride and one’s own ways, contrary to the Word of God.

The elders and leaders of the nations and those of today’s Spiritual Ekklesia are intoxicated with the strong drink of pride and their own ways. We think that we are spiritually rich and have need of nothing; not realizing how spiritually blind we really are (Rev 3:16).

Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am [spiritually] rich, and increased with goods [spiritual understanding], and have need of nothing [we will do what is right in our own eyes and will not listen to anyone not even the Word of God]; and knowest not that thou art [spiritually ignorant and full of sin] wretched, and miserable, and [spiritually ignorant] poor, and blind [we are blinded to the things of God and to our own condition by our great pride], and naked [completely lacking in the raiment of the righteousness of the Word of God]:

Isaiah 28:8 For all tables [pulpits] are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean [pure from the evil of sin, pride in our false ways and self-justification].

Most of the elders and leaders of today’s spiritual Ekklesia are filled with the intoxicant of pride and self-will, spiritually filthy and unclean before God;  therefore they will be rejected into strong correction.

28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

Matthew 18:1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus Christ will teach knowledge to those who are mature enough to be childlike and teachable; without pride, guile or self-will.  Those who lie and say that pure doctrine is not important, can never learn the sound doctrines of the Word of God.

Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

To understand sound doctrine we must have the Holy Spirit which is given ONLY to those who obey God (Acts 4:32); and then we must put together every scripture on a point, not forgetting synonyms.

28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest [the law of God brings rest from sin and its sorrows]; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear [the Word of God].

Learning and faithfully applying the Word of God brings peace of mind and eternal life.  Nevertheless Satan will do all that he can to interfere and cause us to turn aside through temptation and persecutions.

28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

The doctrines of the Word of God are here and there scattered in scripture, so that real effort is required to study and learn the will of God. This was done to separate out the zealous for the Word of God from the lukewarm and self-willed who are too spiritually lazy to search out the will of God to DO it; and instead proudly do what they think is right.

28:14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

Jesus Christ through Isaiah calls the Spiritual Ekklesia to hear and sincerely repent, and turn to live by every Word of God; just as surely as he calls upon the unconverted to do so.

28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

Because Judah says that they are God’s people and will never again go into captivity, and the proud leaders of today’s Spiritual Ekklesia believe that they are righteous and that the tribulation will never come near them: The Eternal says that we are foolish and believe in lies, for he will correct the people who will not live by every Word of God.

28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste [to sin].

Those who rely on the foundation stone of Jesus Christ and are zealous to live by every Word of God the Father shall stand forever; and the wicked who will not sincerely repent will be destroyed.

Very many in today’s Spiritual Ekklesia are now stumbling on the foundation stone of Jesus Christ, by NOT being zealous to live by every Word of God the Father as Jesus taught (Mat 4:4).

Instead we follow false men and idolize corporations, doing whatever men say is right instead of exalting our Lord to live by every Word of God!

28:17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

Just as Jesus cast the money changers out of the physical temple, Jesus Christ shall sweep away the false teachings and every rebellion against God’s Word in the process of completing the building of the Ekklesia, the spiritual Temple of God!

28:18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Our false teaching, that we are so righteous that no evil shall come upon us, when we are truly wicked and rebellious against our Master; will be swept aside by the affliction of the tribulation. Then we will be humbled and many will repent of the way to death, and become zealous for the righteousness contained in every Word of God.

28:19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

In the tribulation it will be a great sorrow to hear the terrible news of the evil as it unfolds.

28:20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

Everything shall be a frustration and a vexation.

28:21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

Christ will correct the wicked and humble the proud, until all nations will repent and seek God.

28:22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong [to sin]: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

Do not mock the warnings, lest your pride increase and your hands be strong to continue in sin.

28:23 Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech. 28:24 Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground? 28:25 When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not [sow seed] cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place? 28:26 For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.

28:27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod. 28:28 Bread corn [grain] is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.

28:29 This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.

Physical man follows the natural things created by God, and yet he will not obey God in greater matters!  Can we not see his design in the natural world?  Why then will we not honor and obey the God who has made the universe?

When Christ comes, Israel, Judah and Jerusalem will repent and turn to God, rejoicing in his salvation welcoming Messiah as their Deliverer with shouts of Hosanna [Save Us]. This time Israel and Judah will be truly sincerely repentant and will embrace their Messiah with all their hearts in zeal and rejoicing over him!

In that day there will be no more tolerance for sin and false teachings [doctrines], and those who teach falsehood shall be destroyed.

Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter [latter day descendant of] of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

When he returns the joy will be even greater than the first time, for all Jerusalem will understand that he has come to deliver and restore all Israel / Judah and save the nations!
