The reasons why physical and spiritual Israel will go into great tribulation
This is a very powerful warning and indictment of today’s spiritual Ekklesia, who idolize men and have no zeal to live by every Word of God, preferring instead to follow the false traditions of men.
Ezekiel 8:1 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.
A description of Messiah in part of his glory
8:2 Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber [like the sun] .
The idolatry of physical Israel is an allegory of the idolatry of the called of the spiritual Ekklesia today. Everything that happened to physical Israel was meant for our instruction, and is an allegory for Spiritual Israel, who are supposed to have God’s Spirit and are supposed to know better.
1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Christ shows Ezekiel the idolatry of the Ekklesia who have provoked him to Jealousy. Remember this is about the end time physical and spiritual Israel, and most particularly about the ones that God is specifically working with; the end time spiritual Israel of the Ekklesia
Ezekiel 8:3 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. 8:4 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.
Christ directs Ezekiel to see his glory in the north, and at the gate of the altar sits the image of jealousy which is the Babylonian Mysteries Nicolaitane governance system of layers of men between the brethren and God. Instead of exalting, worshiping and obeying the Eternal, the people exalt, follow and obey their own corporate idols of men and do so supposedly in the name of the LORD!
This is exactly what is done in the church of God groups today; as they claim to worship and obey God, while exalting their idols of men, corporate entities and the false traditions of men above the Word of God, zealously keeping the false traditions of men, and condemning any zeal to live by every Word of God!
These men and corporations are a modern “Image of Jealousy” because they have replace God and have become the objects of the Ekklesia’s affections. The Ekklesia have exalted their love for their own ways, above any love or zeal for the Word of God their Father in heaven or their espoused Husband!
8:5 Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward [from where Ezekiel was in the vision] at the gate of the altar [this is inside the Temple, in the inner Court of the priests; and is an allegory of what is inside today’s Ekklesia] this image of jealousy in the entry.
Brethren, today’s Ekklesia has set up an “Image of Jealousy” with its abominable Nicolaitane governance systems and its exalting of men above the Word of God. This is called the image of jealousy because God the Father and Jesus Christ must compete with it for the affections of the brethren.
This image existing in today’s Ekklesia which provokes God the Father and Jesus Christ to jealousy and anger, represents the idols of men, corporate entities and false traditions in today’s spiritual Ekklesia! It represents the brethren loving idols of men more than they love the Husband of their baptismal espousal!
8:6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.
The leaders of Judah committed great abominations during the reign of Zedekiah for which God would allow the Babylonians to destroy the city and the Temple soon after this prophecy was given.
Today’s Ekklesia commit the same great abominations in rebellion and idolatry and spiritual adultery against the espoused Husband of our baptismal vows; following and obeying men contrary to the Word of God.
We call the Sabbath and High Days holy, and then we claim we are delivered to pollute them; we make an idol out of the contrary to scripture Rabbinic Calendar and when we learn that they are wrong we try to justify ourselves by claiming that WE are in authority [Not God] and have made the decision, and lying that anyone questioning us is in rebellion against God!
Then Ezekiel is brought to a wall and told to dig a hole through the wall to view what is concealed by the wall.
Brethren, this is speaking about the Court of the Temple, which Court is an allegory of today’s Ekklesia who are supposed to be a part of the spiritual Temple of God!
8:7 And he brought me to the door of the court [of the Temple]; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.
Behind the wall was a door, meaning that the wicked deeds of the leaders and elders are doubly hidden from the brethren [but God sees what they do] who have been deceived into following men as if they were God.
8:8 Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.
Ezekiel is told to go in and look, and write these things as a warning for the latter day Ekklesia! Brethren this is a prophecy about US in our latter day!
8:9 And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.
Ezekiel went in saw the place filled with idols and abominations; just as today’s spiritual Ekklesia is full of the idols of men and the abominations of sin; from spiritual adultery by following others away from the Husband of our baptismal Covenant, to physical divorce and remarriage at will, from Sabbath and High Day pollution to oppressing the brethren to take from them more than is right; and exalting a love for organizations to follow idols of men, above our love for our espoused spiritual Husband to live by every Word of God.
8:10 So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts [Just as Hezekiah’s physical Temple was full of uncleanness, idols and abominations, today’s spiritual Ekklesia is full of the same wickedness] and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.
Here there are seventy senior leaders of Judah who are full of wickedness, and they are a type of today’s elders who lead the brethren into the sin of idolizing men and living contrary to every Word of God by buying things including food and drink on God’s holy Sabbath!
8:11 And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients [senior leaders] of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.
They think the LORD delays and each one seeks his own ways!
8:12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his [own imagination] imagery? for they say, the LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath [delayed and while he is away I am in charge to do as I please.] forsaken the earth.
There is a greater evil yet, for the women [representative of the called out bride] weep [mourn and long] for the ways of worldliness. For who is Tammuz, but the god of this world? Today’s brethren long for the things of worldliness and have no zeal to learn and to keep the Word of God.
8:13 He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. 8:14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
There is a greater abomination yet
8:15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
Twenty five leaders have knowingly turned from exalting the Eternal, to follow worldliness and worship towards the East, which is analogous to turning their backs on God and rejecting God’s Word!
8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’s house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east [the sun god Baal] toward the sun toward the east.
Today the spiritual Israel of the Ekklesia have turned up their noses at any zeal to keep the Word of God and instead they keep their own imaginations and follow idols of men; therefore they will be cast into great tribulation by a furious Husband, Jesus Christ, who is jealous that his bride should love others in spiritual adultery!
8:17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
Brethren, BOTH physical and spiritual Israel will surely be corrected in fury; if they do not speedily and sincerely repent. Do not believe the lies of apostates who say “follow me and you need not fear”; only faithfulness to every Word of God the Father and our espoused Husband will ensure God’s blessings.
Our spiritual adulteries in following idols of men, will surely incur God’s jealous and righteous wrath!
8:18 Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
The wrath of Christ against his adulterous wife physical Israel was strong; how much greater is his wrath against today’s spiritual Israel the espoused bride of the New Covenant, who has these examples of instruction, and have been given God’s Spirit to understand so that they might avoid such wickedness?
Ezekiel 9:1 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them [the angels] that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
Six angels gather to the slaughter; using the nations to correct physical and spiritual Israel.
9:2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
Christ rises up and instructs the angel clothed in linen to go through the people and set a mark on the ones who love him and zealously keep his Word; why weep and despise the evils in his Ekklesia.
9:3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side; 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem [a type of spiritual Israel], and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
Today this marking out and separating the zealous for God from the profane, is in the process of taking place.
God is watching us and all those who loath wickedness, and who are zealous for the Eternal and the whole Word of God to learn it and to keep it will be spared from the great tribulation of correction; while the majority of today’s corporate Ekklesia, who scorn any zeal to live by every Word of God [albeit paying lip service to doing so] and follow their idols of men, will be destroyed; beginning with the leaders, elders and corporate entities!
9:5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: 9:6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
9:7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.
9:8 And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem? 9:9 Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not. 9:10 And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.
9:11 And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me.
The zealous faithful are being measured out and will be cared for, while all those who scorn any zeal to live by every Word of God will be corrected.
The spiritual Temple and altar of the Eternal are those who are the Temple of God’s Spirit. They are full of zeal for God and every Word of God, who passionately love their espoused Husband and would never follow any other.
Revelation 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Those who are zealous to follow idols of men and cling to false traditions contrary to the Word of God, with no zeal to learn and keep the Word of God; have quenched the Spirit of God and are no longer the Temple of God’s Spirit. Not being a part of the true spiritual Temple, they will be strongly corrected in the tribulation for 1,260 days [42 months].
11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
