Assad Trapped in a No Win Situation
The present Middle East situation has American forces backing a large Kurdish army occupying Kurdish Syria and demanding a semi independent autonomous region from Syria.
- The Kurdish army is in position to block the critical Shia supply route from Iran to the Shia militias in Syria, potentially cutting Hezbollah and the Shia militias in Syria off from support during the coming regional war.
- Except for the rebel bastion of Idlib province, Syria has succeeded in liberating the non Kurdish regions from the Western, Arab backed militias.
- The Idlib rebel bastion is controlled by Turkish backed militias.
- Assad is now massing troops for an assault on the rebels in Idlib province which is an essential matter since Idlib is adjacent to Assad’s base in Shia dominated Latakia province.
In chess terms Assad is now in check, since once engaged in any conflict with Israel, the Turkish backed rebels could pour out of Idlib province into Latakia province, overwhelming Assad’s Shia power base while Syrian Hezbollah forces are occupied with Israel.
On the other hand Israel could take advantage of a situation where the bulk of the Syrian army was engaged in Idlib to attack Hezbollah and Damascus, crushing Hezbollah and the Shia militias, and thereby open the way for the Idlib rebels to surge into Latakia anyway.
- If Assad moves against the Turkish backed rebels in Idlib he is doomed because of a probable Israeli move in Lebanon and south Syria;
- Yet if he does not attack Idlib and places his forces in the Israeli theatre he is also doomed because the Turkish backed Idlib based rebels would take advantage of any conflict between Syria and Israel to sweep into Latakia and demolish the Assad power base.
Turkey has a vested interest in the fall of Assad:
- Turkey would gain proxy control of Syria, and Turkey by dominating Syria would also gain a front runner position for leadership of the Islamic world [except for her rival Egypt]
- The moves would allow Turkey to send the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees home
Israel and America have been watching developments very carefully and waiting patiently for the best time to attack Gaza and then Hezbollah in Lebanon / Syria.
A peace deal is being finalized between Israel and the Hamas Political Wing in Gaza which should be agreed in a matter of weeks, except that Israel will make demands which the Hamas Military Wing cannot accept.
The most likely scenario is for Israel to destroy the Hamas Military Wing and conclude a peace with the Hamas Political Wing. The UN Secretary General is already floating a plan for the UNSC to approve an international protection and stabilization force for Gaza similar to that done in Kosovo.
The Iranian Hezbollah Syrian plan has always been to attack in the north once Israeli forces are bogged down in Gaza, but if Israel can defeat the Gaza militias quickly and then turn north while Hezbollah and Syria are deeply engaged in Idlib the situation will be reversed.
A major defeat of the Gaza militias and then Hezbollah/Syria would bring the Turkish backed rebels swarming out of Idlib and into the Shia dominated Latakia province, demolishing the Asaad regime’s power base in Syria.
Once the dust settles we are likely to see new regimes in Syria and Lebanon which being made up of Turkish backed rebels will be extremely close to Turkey; while Turkey is leaning strongly towards Europe and away from her entanglements with America.
- The Syrian government will negotiate a deal with the Kurds which would also resolve Turkish concerns.
- The new Syrian government would also accept the Trump Peace Initiative for a deal with Israel and Turkey would probably help guarantee Syrian security and the peace deal provisions.
Iranian forces in Syria would also be struck which could well bring Iran full scale into the conflict and Donald Trump is already prepared to change the regime in Iran when the situation is ripe.
All of these events if they unfold as anticipated, coupled with Israeli elections expected next spring will open the way for the Trump Middle East Peace Initiative which could be approved by the parties as soon as late 2019 or 2020.
Turkey which is the biblical Edom is prophesied to be the dominant nation in a consortium of Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, the Arab States, the Palestinians and the native Gazans allied with Germany and the New Federal Europe.
A prophecy of the latter days when the nations of Europe, Turkey, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and the Arab States will confederate against the nations of Judah and Israel.
Psalm 83:1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
83:2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 83:3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden [protected] ones.
83:4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance [this as an allegory that the wicked also seek to destroy God’s faithful].
83:5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
83:6 The tabernacles of Edom [Turkey], and the Ishmaelites [true Arabs, sons of Ishmael; sons of Abraham and Agar]; of Moab [Jordan today], and the Hagarenes [Arabs who are sons of Agar by another than Abraham, and also not the sons of Ishmael];
83:7 Geba [Lebanon], and Ammon [Jordan today], and Amalek [a tribe of the Turks]; the Philistines [Gaza] with the inhabitants of Tyre [Lebanon];
83:8 Assur [Germany, Austria, Hungary] also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot [the New Europe will help modern Jordan; Ammon and Moab].
David prophesies that the nations who attack Judah and Israel in these latter days will be corrected in their turn [by the nations of the east]
83:9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, [whose armies were slaughtered (Judges 4)] at the brook of Kison: 83:10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. 83:11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah (Judges 8), and as Zalmunna:
God will drive away the attackers who delight in destroying; like the wind drives stubble before it and wheels roll away
83:12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. 83:13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
God will destroy the armies of the New Europe and her Turkish, Jordanian, Lebanese, Syrian and Arab allies, with armies from the east [Asia] and consume them like a raging fire consumes its fuel.
83:14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
David calls on God to correct the nations of the New Europe Babylon the Great and her Turkish, Jordanian, Lebanese, Syrian and Arab allies to humble them and turn them to God
83:15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. 83:16 Fill their faces with shame [humble them]; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
83:17 Let them [the wicked] be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
83:18 That [all] men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH [YHVH], art the most high over all the earth.
Once this deal is announced (1 Thess 5:3) and a miracle working Roman Pontiff goes to the Temple Mount; the 42 month tribulation will begin (Mat 24:15). The likely trigger will be a rejection of the peace deal by the extremist Jewish Settler Movement people.
God will withdraw his protection (Ezekiel 4-5) and outraged by the peace treaty being broken the Palestinians will rise up with the named nations supporting them, and a terrible bloody conflagration will ensue; then the New Federal Europe will intervene to secure the Israeli nuclear weapons and stop the bloodshed.
This will bring the Islamic consortium into the orbit of the New Federal Europe spelling the end of the Petrodollar and America’s economic dominance.
The US dollar dependent nations will then spiral down into economic collapse while the New Federal Europe allied with the Latin American nations as well as the nations of Psalm 83 and strongly supported by the nations of Asia will achieve an unequaled prosperity until they fall out with Asia.
