The story of Hadassah (Esther) is an allegory about the covenants. Yes, it is a true history, but
it was recorded for us, as part of holy scripture, to teach us about the covenants.
As the story begins, we see
the King of the whole known world, calling for his wife Vashti. The king was holding a great feast for all of his governors.
This, of course, was a political event, designed to impress his governors with his greatness, power and wisdom. It was
designed to discourage rebellion and encourage the smooth running of his vast empire. He was trying in every way to
impress his nobles, so he called upon his wife to make an appearance. She refused to come. Imagine the embarrassment!
The king of the world, is obviously an allegory of Christ, the King of the world. His wife Vashti is an allegory
of Israel, who refused to set the example for all nations that she was called to. Therefore the wife was put away
and the king began searching for a better wife. One who would be a good example to the whole kingdom. Hadassah was found!
A lady who was beautiful in character as well as appearance. A wife who would be an excellent example to the whole world.
This Hadassah was a type of Spiritual Israel, The Church, Those Called to become the bride of Christ at the resurrection!
Hadassah won the heart of the king and saved her people, even so, the faithful obedience and good example of the spiritual
bride, will win the heart of Christ and save mankind from utter destruction.
