and the holy city shall the gentiles tread under foot forty and two months Rev 11:2. and Jerusalem shall
be trodden down by the gentiles, until the times of the gentiles be fulfilled Luk 21:24. These are the times
of the gentiles spoken of by Jesus Christ! Luk 21:24. It's time to let the Bible explain itself, instead of
indulging in some kind of fantastic speculation. These are the times spoken of by Daniel; and they shall
be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of times Dan 7:25. Forty two months of thirty prophetic
days is 1260 days. And a time and times and the dividing of time is forty two months or three and one half years,
or 1260 days! The beast emperor shall have power to make war for forty two months Rev 13:5. In other words, Jerusalem
shall be in his power for 1260 days. He may become leader earlier but will be restrained until the 1260 days begin.
Some of the saints shall be preserved for this same; time and times and the dividing of time Rev 12:14.
At the end of these times, the beast emperor shall, along with the false prophet, be thrown into the fire by Christ at His
coming Rev 19:20 and Dan 7:11.
So we have the beast emperor empowered to make war and he immediately descends upon
Jerusalem, which he occupies for forty two months, or 1260 days. At the end of which he is destroyed and the city liberated.
From the time that the abomination is set up and the daily stopped shall be 1290 days, blessed is he that
waits until the 1335 days Dan 12:11-12, but go thy way till the END BE, for thou shalt rest, and STAND IN
THY LOT at the END OF THE DAYS Dan 12:13. We see here the abomination set up and the daily stopped 1335 days before
THE END, when the saints come to stand in their lot. We should be very careful not to make assumptions. Daniel
is told that all men will be blessed who wait and come to the 1335 days. He is not told that the False Prophet shall
exist for a full 1335 days. Rather he is told that a blessing shall come at that time. That blessing is the pouring
out of the Holy Spirit on all flesh on the Feast of Pentecost Acts 2 and Joel 2:28. It is entirely possible that Christ and
His saints will arrive to defeat and destroy the Beast Emperor and False Prophet an unknown number of days (probably
a very few) before Pentecost. We do know that they shall both be killed at the same time and that the Beast shall occupy
Jerusalem for 1260 days, but we won't know for sure exactly when the beast is empowered and when the occupation will begin
until it happens. Then we may count 1260 days to know when the city will be liberated. See also the article on
THE SPRING FESTIVALS
Jesus said that when you see the abomination standing where he ought not, flee quickly Mat
24:15-21, for the tribulation shall begin. Paul tells us that the end shall not come until the man of sin, the son of
perdition is revealed. It is this man who is the ultimate abomination to God. Since both the standing
of the abomination on the Holy Place and the revealing of the son of perdition result in the tribulation, I regard them
both as representing the same thing. The abomination is the son of perdition spoken of by Paul in 2 Thes 2. He will be
set up, in his church and will travel to the Holy Place some days after he has set up the new system in Europe Rev13:14 triggering
the occupation of Jerusalem! Now, this abomination deceives mankind into accepting him as an ultimate moral authority,
exaulting himself above God! For an explanation of this see our THE ETERNAL IS GOD page.
What of the daily
sacrifice then? How can the daily be stopped to set up the abomination before the city is occupied?
See our article explaining the daily sacrifice and Ezekiel 4 which are intimately bound together.
