OUTREACH SITE: Netanyahu has promised the Israeli electorate that he will soon attack Gaza with a much heavier blow than before. Since the IDF exhausted most of its target list in Nov, the threat seems to be a major land invasion. Indeed almost 70% of Israeli’s registered disappointment in polls, that Bibi had not finished the job and destroyed the Gaza militant groups. The masses of equipment are still on the border along with the necessary troops [excess forces did return home].
Israeli Elections
In the election campaign Likud is hemorrhaging support to the far right, in spite of its own more rightest Knesset list. This has prompted Bibi and Likud to launch virulent attacks on Jewish Home and Shas, two key far right coalition partners. The end result is that IF Likud wins enough seats to be tasked with forming a government; that government will have to include Labour and other centrist leftist parties.
Jewish Home advocates an immediate annexation of 60% of the West Bank and the Shas party can be best described by the remarks of its spiritual leader:
A Jerusalem Post report from 2010 featured some especially noxious remarks by Shas founder, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, likening ANY non-Jews [yes, including Americans] to cattle and donkeys whose job was to serve Jews as mere beasts of burden. This Nana-Channel 10 report features video of the former chief rabbi’s original statements. Here are a few passages translated:
The Goyim were only created to serve us. If that wasn’t the case they [Goyim] would have no place in the world.
…Jews earn eternal life in the days of the messiah. Goyim don’t. Like all people, they must die. But they earn long life. Why? Think about someone’s donkey. If it dies, he loses it, the money. The same with a servant [ or "the one who serves you"]. You also lose money [when he dies]. That’s why Goyim are given long life so they may work well for the Jews.
…Why do Goyim exist? So that they work [for Jews]. They thresh, they plant, they harvest, while we [Jews] sit like effendi and eat [our fill]. That’s why Goyim were created.
The remarks are especially important in the context of the Israeli work force which is filled with poor migrant labor from around the world, but especially from Asia and Africa. Without this cheap, victimized work force, Israel’s economy (especially the agricultural sector) couldn’t function.
It’s no accident that some of the most virulently racist language attacking African refugees in Israel has come from the Shas interior minister and disciple of Rabbi Yosef, Eli Yishai. In this sense, Yishai is giving license to his followers to incite such hate through sermons like this one.
The political landscape in Israel is definitely changing towards peace as Labour has announced that any government coalition they join must be based on a genuine effort at peace.
Bibi, IDF to Hit Hamas Again, With a Even Heavier Blow
The only questionable issue concerning a new round of violence is the timing, and with a Gaza invasion being extremely popular politically, and the long term ceasefire talks deadlocked, the conflict could resume before the Jan 22 elections. Notice I did say “COULD” as the exact timing is impossible to guess.
LCG Bob Thiel NEWS:
Bob Thiel is ending his LCG News page: Obviously he has an irreconcilable difference with LCG which causes LCG to want to disassociate themselves from Bob at least in public. Whether Bob is just closing that page on instructions of LCG, or whether he is beginning to disassociate himself from LCG is not yet clear.
Robert Thiel, LCG’s unofficial spokesman for many years, appears to be contemplating leaving the church. On December 15 he posted on his unofficial News of the Living Church God: ‘Saw DVE727 titled Watch and Get Ready by Dr. D. Winnail for a sermon today. In it, after referring to why Protestant commentaries support his position on the ‘falling away’, he stated that those who do not agree are “blinded to the reality” of what he is teaching. This may be my last post on this page (though that could change).
Future posts, however, are expected be found at the News of Those Once Affiliated with Global page.’ On this page he commented: ‘Basically closed out the News of the Living Church of God page.’
Thiel and Winnail had discussions over the ‘falling away’ doctrine and other matters last summer. On December 20 Douglas Winnail again reprimanded those in LCG who ‘march to a different drum’:
‘Blessings of Unity: David wrote, “how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” (Psalm 133:1). Jesus said, “I and My Father are one” (John 10:30), and He prayed for His disciples, “that they may be one as We are” (John 17:11). The Scriptures reveal that the disciples had different personal perspectives (Acts 2; Galatians 2), but they learned to work together as a coordinated team to achieve their mission (2 Peter 3:14-16). They obviously realized that if each marched to his own drum, the job they were given would not get done. This is why the Apostle Paul stated that as we do the Work of God we need to be respectful and patient with each other, “endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:1-3). Paul also emphasized there is “one body and one Spirit… one Lord, one faith, one baptism” and the work of the ministry involves fostering the unity of the faith and not being split apart by different ideas about methods or doctrine (Ephesians 4:4-16). As we are led by the same Spirit, we will see divisions diminish and we will be more “perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment” (1 Corinthians 1:10). Peace, harmony and unity in the Church of God will become visible fruits when we are led by God’s Spirit.’ Source COG News
Of course David and Paul were writing about unity with God as the foundation for organizational unity.
Although I have had my problems with Bob; including his routinely bearing false witness against me, with innuendo and twisted partial truths; and his heavy Roman Catholic and pagan positions; in this case Doug and LCG are completely WRONG!
You simply cannot fall away from something that you have never been a part of! The world cannot fall away from God, simply because they have never been called out to Christ in the first place. And on the other hand, a person who is following one false prophet, is not falling away from God by turning to follow another false prophet.
By appealing to Protestant doctrine, LCG is revealing that they, like UCG, are compromising with their identity, and drifting towards association with at least some Protestant doctrine, and are moving in the evangelical direction.
One wonders what put this CRAZY protestant idea in the minds of Doug Winnail and the LCG leaders.
Bob, who is trying to establish himself as another Tim Lahaye, recently set up his own publishing company to get his books to the mainstream public. Bob is very Catholic and Pagan in his prophetic writings.
It seems that Bob who regards himself as the one of the greatest experts on prophecy alive today, and LCG which has problems of its own; may be coming to a parting, based on the different directions they want to take towards the mainstream “Christian” community;. Catholic Bob, or Protestant LCG.
Is Bob going to try and start his own group? Will Bob apologize to Charles Bryce for condemning him for breaking from LCG? I wonder if any LCG folks will follow this man.
Psalm 140-150
King James Version (KJV)
Most of these psalms today are praise containing lessons about the greatness of God.
Why have we turned to exalt men, organizations and traditions above the word of God? Why do we set aside whole portions of scripture like Ezra and Nehemiah to justify polluting Sabbath? Why do we ignore the clear instructions regarding the New Moons and Calendar?
Why do we claim that the early harvest is harvested in the autumn just to try and justify, our false traditions regarding the Festivals of God? Why do we spend our money on a Winter Festival while rejecting and refusing to keep Gods Feast of Unleavened Bread [because we lack money] for the full seven days that God has commanded? is that not putting our own pleaseures before the commandments of God?
Its time to repent and RUN with exuberant rejoicing and zeal for the commandments of God, into the arms of our Almighty God!
Psalm 140
The whole world under the leadership of the New Europe will attack the Israelite nations and oppress them until Christ begins to deliver us in the third year. This is a prayer for deliverance, for all those who are oppressed and repent, and especially for the physical nations at the time of Jacob’s trouble.
1 Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; 2 Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. 3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah.
4 Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings. 5 The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.
God will deliver his faithful who call upon him for deliverance at his appointed time.
6 I said unto the Lord, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O Lord.
God will intervene to destroy the plans of the wicked against his called out, and against physical Israel in the end time.
7 O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head [like a helmet of salvation] in the day of battle. 8 Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.
The end of the false prophet and the European emperor.
9 As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. 10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
Let evil be removed from the earth by Messiah and the Kingdom of God.
11 Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
In the end the righteousness of God and his commandments will prevail and he shall rule the earth in justice and the commandments keepers shall live forever.
12 I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. 13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
Psalm 141
A prayer that God will watch over his people and keep them from the breaking or compromising with any of his commandments. A prayer of repentance, which should be the prayer of all the called out.
1 Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee. 2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as [Let my prayer rise to God as the smoke of incense rises] incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
Keep me from uttering false or evil words.
3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
Keep my thoughts pure from evil and FAR FROM lusting over the pleasures of wickedness.
4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.
The godly shall rejoice in the correction of righteousness.
5 Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.
When the tribulation begins, or any captivity and trial of the righteous, then they shall repent and shall hear the words of God and take heed to do them.
6 When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
Even in the presence of death, the called out shall cleave to the commandments off the Eternal.
7 Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth. 8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute [of salvation].
Keep those who love and live God’s commandments from the tricks and deceit of the wicked who would condemn their zeal and lead them into destruction of compromise with any of the commandments.
9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity. 10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.
Psalm 142
Our God is our Mighty Refuge in time of trial, he is our ONLY true refuge and high tower of strength.
1 I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication. 2 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.
3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.
4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.
5 I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. 6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
Psalm 143
A prayer of repentance requesting deliverance.
1 Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. 2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
3 For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. 4 Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.
5 I remember the days of old [the history of the scriptures and Israel coming out of Egypt]; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. 6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
7 Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit [grave].
8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
9 Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.
10 Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
11 Quicken [give life] me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.
12 And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
Psalm 144
The Eternal is a Mighty Warrior against wickedness and sin; and we should be so too.
1 Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war [especially spiritually with the sword of truth], and my fingers to fight: 2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
The Greatness, Wisdom, Might and Glory of our Defender!
3 Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
4 Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.
5 Bow thy heavens, O Lord, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
6 Cast forth lightning, and scatter them [the unrepentant wicked]: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them [the unrepentant wicked].
Many people again compared to waters.
7 Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; 8 Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
Rejoice in the Greatness of the Mighty God of Jacob!
9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. 10 It is he that giveth salvation unto kings [who trust in HIM]: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
Destroy wickedness out of the land, that the kingdom [purge out all compromise with God's law that the called out church assembly] may flourish..
11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange [unconverted interlopers] children, whose mouth speaketh vanity [makes grace an excuse to tolerate sin, and leads people away from Christ] , and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood [their shaking hands in agreement is a false pledge; their baptismal pledge to follow Chirst, is a falsehood which marriage vow they break] :
12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: 13 That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets: 14 That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.
15 Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.
Psalm 145
The righteous shall praise God at all times and forever; for he is great and mighty in wisdom, to provide such a wondrous law for his faithful to live by!
1 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. 2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. 6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible [awesome, mighty] acts: and I will declare thy greatness.
7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
8 The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9 The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
10 All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. 11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
The Kingdom of God
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
14 The Lord upholdeth all that fall [stumble and repent] , and raiseth up all those that be bowed down [in humility and repentance before him].
15 The eyes of all [shall] wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat [food] in due season.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. 18 The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. 19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
20 The Lord preserveth all them that love him [by keeping all of commandmenst without compromise ro tolerance for wilful sin] : but all the wicked will he destroy.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Psalm 146
Put your trust in God and NOT in any man. Praise him for his greatness and power to save!
1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul.
2 While [as long as I live; eternally] I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
Rulers of men breath, they die and their thoughts perish, and they rot; but the Eternal is forever.
4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
It is an awesome privilege to be called out to come as a part of the espoused bride of Christ; thank and glorify the Father for his mercies!
5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God: 6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
7 Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The Lord looseth the prisoners:
8 The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous:
9 The Lord preserveth the [righteous foreigner] strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
10 The Lord shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 147
The coming of Messiah and a prophecy of the Kingdom of God.
1 Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
When Christ comes he will:
2 The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. 3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
God is mighty in wisdom and knowledge and will fulfill his will.
4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. 5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
6 The Lord lifteth up the meek [Mat 5]: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
Sing unto the Eternal and praise him always.
7 Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: 8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.
9 He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. 10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
Why will you trust in the traditions of man, and not fear the glory of your God, to accept and exalt his word above your traditions?
Repent and turn from your traditions that come between you and your God; throw yourselves on his nercies, and he will accept you.
11 The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
12 Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion [especially spiritual Israel called out to be the dwelling place of God] . 13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.
14 He maketh peace [God's spirit brings peace of mind and will eventually bring eternal life in peace and harmony with God and man] in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat [the Bread of Life].
God is obeyed by the very elements.
15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly. 16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes. 17 He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold? 18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob [spiriual Israel, those who obey him] , his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
The law shall go forth from Jerusalem and was given to Israel; and its spirit and intent to spiritual Israe,l first, so that all nations could be grafted into spiritual Israel the bride of Christ.
20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 148
A song of praise for the great deeds of our God.
1Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. 3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created. 6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons [wild carnivorous beasts] , and all deeps: 8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word: 9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: 10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: 12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: 13 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
14 He also exalteth the horn [strength] of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 149
1 Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. 2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. 4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
The resurrected saints shall correct the wicked and rule the nations as kings to enforce the law and as priests to teach the law of God.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword [of truth] in their hand; 7 To [correct the wicked] execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 150
Praise God in song and dances of exuberant rejoicing.
1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
