ANNOUNCEMENTS:   After completing coverage of the Papal trip to Lebanon tomorrow, I will begin a Bible Study through the Book of Psalms on the Feast of Trumpets Tuesday.   I will continue through the Psalms with interspersed posts on Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles.

I plan to be making a trip for the Feast and will be looking at potential feast sites for next year while traveling.  We will be driving our “new” 2005 Nissan Sentra which is very excellent for gas mileage.  We [my son David and I] were able to make a great deal with new tires, new brakes and a complete mechanical inspection and all issues fixed.

On this trip I will be using the new laptop that was purchased in the spring, for the first time in an away from home environment.

Site visits have risen this month although I expect them to fall sharply at the Feast, as many will not have internet access.  Please do tell your friends especially about the new Outreach Site, which dares to take a stand for God and the truth.

LCG NEWS:  How COGWRITER Bob Thiel twists words to convey false impressions and lie.

Last week Bob Thiel and Rod Meredith spoke with one another and apparently papered over their difference for the time being.

They also spoke about my statement that LCG and COGWA were working to cooperate with one another.

Bob lies by inventing a statement from his own imagination and then attacking it, while implying that someone actually made the statement when they said nothing of the kind.  This diabolical form of lying is worthy of and comes from the father of lies himself

Yesterday Bob posted a deliberately false statement about this blog and is apparently dragging Rod Meredith into his web of deceit.  Of course he does not mention this blog directly, but the innuendo is obvious.

I said that LCG and COGWA had much in common including old friendships and common doctrine and were seeking ways in which they could cooperate.  I NEVER EVER said a single word about them merging.

Now look at the absolute deceit of Bob Thiel as he starts with a false statement about a merger post at a blog which is his own fabrication,  and then attacks his own false statement [in a straw man argument] about alleged merger talks; and finally admits that what I had really  said about cooperation was true; of course without admitting  what I had really said!  Why all this deceit and double talk just to make my comments seem wrong to the unthinking reader when they are true?

To think that a person claiming to be converted, would stoop to this kind of false witness is really pathetic.

Bob writes:

Roderick C. Meredith, the Presiding Evangelist of the Living Church of God (LCG) informed me yesterday that rumors on the internet related to alleged merger talks [NO such merger talks were ever alleged!] with the Church of God a Worldwide Association (COGWA) or the United Church of God (UCG) are not true.

Although all the Charlotte-based evangelists of LCG have long known, and often worked with, many of the top leaders in COGWA and UCG, that keeping somewhat cordial relations with them should not be interpreted as some type of merger plan [No type of merger plan was ever at any time alleged by me!].  Dr. Meredith reiterated that none of them at any time talked seriously    [look at the qualifier "seriously" to see the double talk here.  They are admitting that even the issue of merger was explored!  Even though I did NOT say anything about any possible merger at all]    about any kind of “merger” or getting together more than simply having a certain degree of brotherly love and mutual cooperation    [I alleged that they would find it useful to cooperate:  NOT merge!]    regarding the brethren helping one another during national or weather related tragedies, outside attacks, etc.   Dr. Meredith took exception to those who claim otherwise.

If Dr Meredith took exception to what I said, it was because he has been misinformed about what I said by false witness Catholic Bob; who is clearly trying his best to bear false witness and misinform LCG and the public.

UCG NEWS:  For the last almost two year, UCG has been calling for tolerance of doctrinal differences and sin for the sake of organizational unity.  While that may produce an appearance of organizational unity it is exactly the opposite;  it is internal doctrinal DIS-unity; and it is DIS-unity with God and his Word.

Be careful here; we are NOT talking about a learning growing person who just does not understand everything yet; we are talking about outright sin being tolerated without open rebuke, and about differences in basic beliefs.

It is:  Believe and do what you want as long as you follow the human leader and don’t make waves by standing for the truth or condemning sin.

We are commanded to Cry Aloud, Spare Not;  and WHAT?

Is 58:1   Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Obeying that command of God is now considered the sin of upsetting people, and will soon be considered a great sin in all the world!  It is to stand up to that kind of opposition that God’s two srvants will be given power.

Intolerance of sin, is and will be considered a great sin!
