TOMORROW’S NEWS: TODAY!: Even though it has now come out that the Syrian massacre was NOT perpetrated by the Syrian government; US Allies are recalling their remaining diplomats from Syria and kicking out the remaining Syrian diplomats in their countries.
The killings were part of an intercomunal fight between Alawites and Shia, triggered by al Qaeda which is the Sunni element of al Qaeda. This Sunnii element of al Qaeda was recruited by Gen Petraeus in Iraq and used to overthrow Qadaffi in Libya, then air-lifted to Turkey to infiltrate Syria and create just such incidents. As CIA Director, Petraeus now flies to Turkey once a week to direct the CIA proxy war on Syria. We can anticipate that this type of carnage along with terrorist bombings will increase until people in the allied nations support and call for foreign intervention.
The classic Hegelian Dialectic is being played out before your eyes.
The timing of these things is to bring about a great victory over “Islamic Extremism” and then bring a broad Middle East peace deal before the US Nov presidential elections.
The book of First Corinthians is strong on the holy spirit, a subject that some have been asking about. As, or right after, I go through First Corinthians, I will also post on the “Unpardonable Sin” which all the major COG Organizations are in grave danger of committing at this time.
What is being done to endanger the Groups in this way will be explained along with the Sin of blaspheming [attacking or rejecting] and quenching God’s spirit.
1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul is specifically addressing the saints at Corinth and is also addressing ALL of the saints; everywhere; which would include our time and place. he begins by complementing them and immediately launches into criticism of things that are a massive problem in the COG Groups today.
4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; 5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; 6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: 7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: 8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
I thank the Father who called you who are Pillars of Faith; that he has enriched you in the knowledge and understanding of the words of God; so that you may be blameless at the resurrection. God is faithful to keep his promises: If you are faithful to him. Christ is confirmed in you by your faithfulness to his [and the Father’s] word. If you remain faithful to him in zealously keeping his words, you shall lack for no necessary gift and your development in the faith will not be hindered..
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing [doctrine that Christ taught] , and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind [of Christ] and in the same judgment [of Christ].
11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; 15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. 16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
Brethren: Is this not the state of affairs in the “Christian” world today? Is it not the state of affairs in the Church of God? Everywhere men follow teachers! Some follow Herbert Armstrong and some follow Joseph Tkach. Some follow Meredith, or Pack or Flurry; or Luther, or Menno Simons, or a Pope, or this, or that man’s, teachings about the word of God.
WHO FOLLOWS GOD AND Jesus CHRIST?
Paul condemns this following of men; declaring that we are all brothers and children of the SAME FATHER. We must all learn to put our Heavenly Father: FIRST!
Men can be a great help; yes they can: even as Paul was a great help and remains a help to us today! That does not mean that we should not continually check that men are being faithful to Almighty God!
Yes; we should check, check, check; and prove, prove, prove: all things by the word of God.
It is the Father who should always come FIRST. Men are only elder brothers who are responsible for focusing each of us on our Father.
If they try to focus us on themselves or their organizations; if they compromise with God’s word; if they exalt themselves: Almighty God will deal with them! And if we follow them in their error: WE SHALL ALSO BE CORRECTED!
The Father: WILL NOT TOLERATE DISOBEDIENT CHILDREN! JESUS CHRIST WILL NOT TOLERATE AN ADULTEROUS WIFE; WHO FOLLOWES OTHERS INSTEAD OF HIMSELF ALONE!
18 For the preaching of the [Sacrifice of Christ] cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved [delivered from the power of sin] it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the [worldly] wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by [worldly] wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching [the wisdom of God, which is foolishness to the worldly] to save them that [have faith in God] believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks [the worldly of then and now] foolishness [beyond understanding]; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than [beyond the understanding of carnal man] men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [of this world] are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things [those that are ignorant of worldly wisdom] of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; [so that no flesh should glory in itself; and so that all men would eventually understand that the glory belongs to God alone] 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not [nothing in the eyes of this society] , to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
Those steeped in worldly knowledge will consider the wisdom of God to be foolishness and will not respond positively to it. Therefore God must call out those ignorant in worldly wisdom who will respond positively to the wisdom of God.
No man can say that he understood the things of God by his own efforts. Understanding is the gift of the Holy Spirit which guides into all truth and provides us with understanding of the things of God.
God does not call many wise in this society lest they become vain and proudly self-righteous; thinking that they have understood and become righteous through their own efforts. God calls the poor of spirit, the contrite of heart, the humble by nature; because they will exalt their God and will not exalt themselves.
Those who exalt themselves will be abased; so that being humbled; they too can be saved. It is the spirit, the very mind and nature of Christ dwelling in us; which has given us the wisdom, righteousness and sanctification of Christ; who is is our redemption!
Jesus Christ dwelling in us through the Holy Spirit; will empower us to obey the Father [as Christ did and does] and such obedience will be rewarded with the gift of even more understanding!
The wise of this society think that obeying God is foolishness and will not obey. Therefore they cannot receive the Holy Spirit which gives understanding; until they have been humbled.
If the spirit of God is the wisdom, truth and mind of God; And the commandments of God define his mind and nature [which they do]; then by rejecting the commandments of God, we are rejecting his spirit!
If we refuse to DO what is godly; we are rejecting the very nature and spirit of God!
The leaders and elders of the various COG Groups who reject Nehemiah because they want to pollute the Sabbath; are rejecting a part of the very mind of God! They are rejecting the spirit of God!
When we Prove All Things and hold fast only to what God has proclaimed in his word; then we are building the nature of God within ourselves!
When the brethren do as the men over these organizations tell them, contrary to all the word of God; they are exalting such men over God’s word; which is IDOLATRY. idolatry is forbidden by God’s law, and if we do what men say instead of what God’s commandments say; we are rejecting the very nature and mind of God! We are rejecting God’s spirit!
1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with Excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know [ or teach] any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear [for you , and in much trembling. I came among you not to impress with my learning and fine rhetoric, but in all humbleness to teach Jesus Christ!
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. I did not teach you the wisdom of men, rather I taught the wisdom and power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: For the wisdom of men is foolishness in comparison to the wisdom of God. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: We reveal the hidden mysteries of God, that he would glorify his called out over comers.
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man [the mysteries of God are unknown to men and are revealed by God’s spirit alone], the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
The spirit or nature of God knows all the things of God for it is the very mind and nature of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
Human beings have a spirit or mind that lifts us above the animals; and God has a greater spirit or mind than any man, which makes him far superior to the wisest man.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the [worldly carnal men] world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to [to those who repent of sin and obey God Acts 5:32] us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
The repentant man is given the very nature of God through his repentance and willingness to partake of God’s nature; through the diligent seeking out of that nature; which is contained in, and defined in, the scriptures and law of God.
When we learn of God, we are internalizing his very nature his spirit; and when we obey him and do as he would do in any situation; we are internalizing the very mind, nature, deeds and spirit of God!
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Spiritual things are spiritually discerned. That is why it is so very WRONG to depend on the teachings of the unconverted minds of the pagans for Doctrine or Prophecy.
Herbert Armstrong went very far astray in proclaiming dozens of prophecies presumptuously in “The Name of The Lord” all of which failed. The lesson is still not learned as men like Robert Thiel come up with their ideas and then rush to the pagans for spiritual support of their positions.
That is the scriptural reality of the blind man seeking out the blind for guidance. And through that error of jumping into bed with Jezebel thousands in many COG Groups have been led astray and will end up in great tribulation for that sin.
Those who do not obey God: DO NOT have his spirit. They CANNOT understand spiritual things and are blind. To Follow them is to follow the spiritually blind and to enter the VERY SAME SPIRITUAL DARKNESS THAT THEY ARE IN!
These groups by learning the teachings and prophecies of the heathen; have fallen astray and are standing on their false teachings; rejecting the truth of God. They are rejecting the very nature and spirit of God that is found in the scriptures, for the nature of the blind heathen. And because they reject the knowledge of God, or mix truth with the falsehood of pagan error, they shall all fall into the ditch of trial and correction.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, [He questions and tests all things by the word of God] yet he himself is [cannot be condemned by men, for his judge is Almighty God] judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, [What carnal man can teach God?] that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. We have the Holy Spirit, the very nature of God; if we obey him and are sanctified by Jesus Christ.
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
I still need to teach you these basics, because you are not ready for the more difficult matters. Is this not ture in the major COG Groups today? They have departed from the very basics of loving God enough to be keeping God’s commandments with enthusiasm and zeal; therefore they cannot understand the solid meat of God’s word.
3 For ye are yet carnal [physically minded] : for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? Is this not so in the Church?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Do not the people declare that I am of Herbert, or Pack, or Flurry, or Meredith]
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
Who is Herbert, or Flurry, or Pack, or Meredith? But elders that preached to you.
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; [Mortal men are not important, and everything they say MUST be proved out by the Word of God in personal study, for it is God who gives his spirit of understanding; ONLY to those who obey HIM!] but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one [each united with Christ] : and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry [flock or branches], ye are God’s building [Temple].
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a [God has allowed me to preach] wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, [the Gospel of warning and repentance and the way to unity iwth God] and another buildeth thereon.
Our foundation is the Holy Scriptures and Paul wrote a major part of those Scriptures.
Now, in this later day, we must be careful that we use the true Scriptures and not be deceived by some pagan fraudulent writings passing themselves off as the scriptures like the NIV.
But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Our foundation MUST BE THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST, NOT ANY MAN; AND NOT ANY PERVERTING OF HIS WORDS!
Jesus Christ sent the apostles and prophets who write the Holy Scriptures; and he inspired what was written; therefore our foundation is the Logos, the WORD, Jesus Christ in print.
We must be very careful to use the best possible translation of the Word of God; and to avoid those abominations like the fraudulent NIV produced by the Ecumenical Movement; for the express purpose of undermining Jesus Christ as the ONLY Mediator between God and man, and making the commandments of God of no real practical effect; through grace as a license to compromise with the commandments and commit sin..
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the [day of testing] day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. The work that is based on the foundation of Christ and the Holy Scriptures shall abide in the day of his testing and his judgment.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Very many who have been called at this time, and we are facing an imminent day of testing; when God will see whether we have built our spiritual house; of stubble upon the shifting sands of the doctrines of false teachers, and shall have our character house burned down by the fire of tribulation: Or whether we have built a house of gold, on the solid rock of Jesus Christ, the true foundation of Godly Character.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
If any man defile his mind [Temple] by seeking out and accepting false teachings contrary to God’s word: his work of false teachings will be destroyed and he will also be destroyed along with them: if he does not repent.
Such men will be rejected by Christ as per the letter to Laodicea; because they have already rejected the wisdom, words, laws, nature and spirit of God.
Stand on the word of God and test ALL teachings by that word!
Brethren: BE NOT DECEIVED. It is not Herbert W Armstrong, or any other man; who can save you: it is Jesus Christ; the ONLY propitiation for our sins; and the ONLY intercessor for us with the Father; Jesus Christ is our ONLY Savior!
To compromise with his word; his zeal for his Father; his righteousness as contained in his teachings; is to reject his very nature: It is a rejection of the spirit of God!
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool [turn away from the wisdom of wickedness], that he may be wise [in Godly righteousness through the keeping of all his commandments]. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. The wisest thoughts of the wisest men are nothing in comparison to the wisdom of God.
21 Therefore let no man glory in [the wisdom of] men. For all things [the wisdom of God is yours through his spirit if you believe and obey him] are yours; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; 23 And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.
We are not to understand the WORD of God through the worldly teachings of the pagans, who have NO understanding of spiritual things and the ways of God!
It is one thing to get proven facts from the worldly; it is quite another to rely on their understanding, interpretations and conclusions on doctrine and prophecy.
