News about a COGWA South African Church couple needing prayers: Tony and Brenda Levy

 Good afternoon everyone,

Very early this morning we got a shocking telephone call that Tony and Brenda Levy were woken at two o clock in the night with a gun to Tony’s head and a knife against Brenda.  They were gagged and bound and for about three hours terrorized while their home was ransacked and they were forced to reveal their pin numbers for their credit cards.  They were promised they will not be harmed as long as they give their full co-operation but expected the worst when they placed cushions over their heads; expecting then to be shot.  Brenda was stabbed twice under her arm but not too deeply so that it needs stitches; she thinks that happened as she woke up and screamed.  The man apologized that he had stabbed her, and asked her to pray for him  so he could stop what he does!!

Needless to say, the emotional scars will be there for a long time.  The robbers got away with their brand new car, withdrew quite a few thousand from their credit cards, and made off with all cell phones, TV, lap-top and jewellery, etc.  Things you can never replace, like some antique jewellery from parents and grandparents.  We spent the morning with them, and they looked far more settled by the time we left — their children were also there with them.   They will probably go and sleep in their daughter’s home for a while.

We are just very thankful because it could have been so much more tragic. I believe it is time that we seriously pray for the safety of all of the flock around the world.
